Ghosts with treats, or fairies trying to trap people in the Fae Realm?

BZZZTTT! WRONG!...took my parents and I on a tour...
That should be "my parents and me". If your parents weren't there and you were the only one being shown around, would you say "...took I on a tour..."?
Helpful rule: If you were the only person involved, would you say "I" or would you say "me"?
Proof Positive the world is not flat: If it were, cats would have pushed everything off the edge by now.

The ghostly-spirit version of the "weenie ladies" at Costco. They offer free samples, and hope you'll like them enough to wander down the haunted corridor to the castle freezer and take a 24-pack of frozen berry tarts home.Opus the Poet wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2019 11:31 pm Ghosts with treats, or fairies trying to trap people in the Fae Realm?
She was lucky, though... if they'd been there the next week she's have run into the ghostly proprietor of the Whizzo Confectionary Company, and would have been offered a freshly-baked beriberi tart.

Now we know for sure which is which.
Normally, accepting food from mysterious creatures of the occult is dangerous. Barb was lucky. Or is actually a changeling and the real Barbara has been trapped in the castle all this time.Opus the Poet wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2019 11:31 pm http://wapsisquare.com/comic/only-others/

Castella is wondering if pastries, handed out by ghosts, taste better then just normal pastries.

Nothing beats a Phix Cookie.

And they'll both be begging for their lives, should they ever run across Phix, and make their claims...

This story sounds reminiscent of that of Monica and Mayahuel.

Nice to know someone else thought of that.

That would be hilarious, if the Keebler Elves really existed, in the Wapsiverse. They would be very upset, over Monica, for preferring Girl Scout Cookies, over theirs. Not much they could do about it though; although, I could see Monica receiving a passive aggressive Tweet, or Facebook post, every now and then, saying how she is not supporting the Para-comunity, by not consuming Para-made baked goods.

Spirits crossing from the afterlife, and snacks involved as well? Somebody call Monica!
It's already been confirmed that the Library has Fae cookie recipes on file. So if a ghost can get to the Library, then there's nothing stopping them from looking up the recipe and making Fae-style cookies to trap the unwary.Opus the Poet wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2019 11:31 pm Ghosts with treats, or fairies trying to trap people in the Fae Realm?
I'd use "you" in a first person singular form, and insist that it was in the proper gerund case, just to watch the language majors cry.AnotherFairportfan wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2019 11:45 pm Helpful rule: If you were the only person involved, would you say "I" or would you say "me"?
A poltergustatory experience!ziggy78eog wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 10:22 am Castella is wondering if pastries, handed out by ghosts, taste better then just normal pastries.
For all we know, the Girl Scouts cookies could be baked by a renegade group of the Keeblers. Tired of the conservative, patriarchal lifestyle in the Keebler tree, they branched off and formed a splinter group of elven bakers supporting young girls finding their ways in life.ziggy78eog wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 9:33 am That would be hilarious, if the Keebler Elves really existed, in the Wapsiverse. Pasties have no intrinsic taste themselves. For the most part.ziggy78eog wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 10:22 am Castella is wondering if pastries, handed out by ghosts, taste better then just normal pastries.
They might be imbued w/ a certain salty or tangy flavor, but otherwise it's usually a slight more olfactory experience.

"Pasty" is a type of {usually} meat-filled pie from Cornwall.TazManiac wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 6:58 pmPasties have no intrinsic taste themselves.
