the link in the 'chronology' thread has a lot... maybe this and the following says something... http://wapsisquare.com/comic/trickster/

The Library is in a sentient dimension separate from Earth that collects all written material - put magic together with all the written material that was and ever will be, and something has to happen... :)

I think it was most likely the Pratchett fans in the forum, that started the thought about the 'back story', etc...
You have read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discworld_(world) ???

Its the main basis for this theory.. :P

Ummmm - I know what L-Space is - you'll note I referenced it in my post. I was asking where we're told the Bibliothiki is connected to our reality - as in, able to read the Author's work rather than just its own history.

Dave11 : AFAIK that's all there is... Note that there are NOT any permanent doorways to the library... the simple way to explain it, is those 'auto scan' things in some scifi, that scan your DNA etc, and then welcome you personally.. :P

or those very private clubs, that will pretend they don't exist, unless you have a special password, and recognized name... and if you go there later, you will only find an empty warehouse... 8-)
that is how the library entrance works, but more complex.. a normal guy just wont see anything..

e.g, http://wapsisquare.com/comic/bare-with-me/ AND the next few...

That yes for , but also in Lspace, any library shelve in any universe is accessible from any other library anywhere. That's serious book magic but the Unseen University librarian did it in one of the books to save books from fire and it is acknoledged as possible in several books. And as the protagonists of Wapsi are almost all major powers and bookish (well not shelly) they should be able to.
