There you have it: admission that Castela is actually not interested romantically in Hiroshi...

Well, at least not on a conscious level... rosebush hair, anyone?

I think it's all hormonal, not romantic, and she's always known that. The roses and brambles are all an expression of the hormonal parts of her emotional makeup, outside her consciousness. :ugeek:

What Castel is looking for is someone she is intellectually attracted to who also causes roses and brambles.

I predict comforting, then hugging, then smooching. Then panicking. Lots and lots of panicking.

Any bets as to who the counselor is? Leucoisa.avatar() would seen to be the most likely suspect, with Tina as a possibility.

Best to get the panicking done before the Christmas shopping-season rush gets underway.

Yes. Yes, you are.

I simply thought "Luci! I'm home!"

I thought of Luci as a "mentor" rather than a "counselor", but you folks could be right... she may be the person Castela was referring to.

Nah. It's Tina, in the traditional bartender role.

At least she's not keeping it all shut up inside her, I guess?

There's romance, and then there's basic lust. Distinct from each other, though not mutually exclusive. It comes down to whether Castela wants to spend her life with Hiroshi, or if instead she just wants him to occasionally practice his butterfly moves on her blossoms.

Y'know - that's a hell of a narrative jump Castela makes in the last panel.

I guess that sometimes, when you finally let your guard down, it falls all the way down, and crushes a bunch of stuff that you thought you'd stowed safely in the fourth-level sub-basement.

Is she doing (unconsciously, perhaps) one of those "I don't want him, but you can't have him" sort of things?

Entirely possible. At least it's not as out-of-left-field as a certain other dumping we've seen.
