I'm only mildly arachnophobic, but the scene playing in Monica's mind would have me down for the count, after you peeled me off the ceiling. :o

More like, find what's left of the ceiling. Shel has a habit of going full sphinx when spiders might be around.

Shelly, you need to go to a hospital, because your arms aren't supposed to be shaped like that. They might be broken.

Mama and the kids are going to be so disappointed.I have never understood some peoples reactions to spiders (like my wife). Now snakes on the other hand i would authorize the use of strategic nukes on them sobs.

Yah...spiders.

No.

HELL no.

Yup...no. There would be arachnid carnage...Mama would NOT be happy.

Snakes and spiders don't bother me. Cockroaches are NOT something I want coming after me, but I'm not afraid of them. I'm not fond of scorpions, but that's because I don't like the end result.

I think that merits a donation to the Pun Jar (or perhaps just humming the soundtrack theme from The Sting?)

Are you suggesting I'm an Entertainer?

We seem to have claws to think so . . .

I'm not fond of centipedes, myself. I would recommend watching a video of one eating something, but having seen it myself... I wouldn't recommend it.

It's a good thing Calista has been well-behaved in recent years (and helped out a lot with Digit's situation after she was transmogrified).

Otherwise, Monica might have had to ask the Sage of the Forest to be a formal witness to justice, when she fed Cricket to the camel spiders.

I really think that would not have ended well. Not for Shelly, not for Cricket, probably not for Monica.

Individual spiders are fine. I can focus on the one and coax it either into my hand for transport to a safe place for it, or just herd it outside.

Baby spiders, en masse, scare the fuck outta me. There’s just too goddamn many of them, and they’re too small for me to easily see, and I don’t know how they behave (are they like baby snakes, who don’t know how to not inject all of their venom in one bite yet, or extra-skittish and more likely to bite because they’re tiny?).

You wanna see me tap dance, release a bunch of tiny biting arthropods. Ants, baby spiders, etc.

Earwigs will also evoke a response along the lines of “there is no such thing as overkill, there is only ‘fire for effect’ and ‘target neutralized.’” Ball-peen hammers may or may not have been dented in pursuit of an earwig’s absolute and total annihilation. They are also the only insect that will instantly make me extremely adept at finding the items needed to make a flamethrower within seconds.

I don’t even like the way they’re shaped, and I honestly would rather not look up what they actually do. “Earwig” is enough to discourage me from learning anything else about them.

Spiders, cockroaches, scorpions, even ants and baby spiders, I can handle without my hind-brain completely taking the wheel.

But if I suddenly see an earwig within six inches of me or anywhere in my tent, I drop the cerebral cortex and dive straight into the reptile brain in zero seconds flat.

He's mister exploiter, he's mister ones and zeros
They call me GlytchMeister, whatever I touch
Starts to glitch in my clutch!
I'm too much!

Well, I can tell you that earwigs have no special fondness for ears. That is, as compared to other tiny moist holes they can hide in.
