The Wapsi Square Character and Storyline List

Post by jwhouk »

Pablo referenced it in one of the recent threads, and I'm posting this as a separate (hopefully pinnable?) thread:

The list of the cast of characters - from Monica's Abuela to Daren Watkins, and from Monica Villareal and Amanda Ehrlich all the way to Lily Pratt and Suzie McBride - is now updated through Friday, November 2nd's strip.

EDIT: The Now-Omnibus version (including characters, locales, and a "storyline arc" summary listing) is located at Google Docs - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9AJYQ ... sp=sharing (eBook version)

Minor tyop -- bottom of pg 2/top of pg 3 -- I believe it's Crimson Mantis, not Manthis:

Another typo - the U-boat captain is reffered to as the captain of the U-256; it is the U-296. Or was.

Also, I thought Lydia's "Secretary, Unnamed" was indeed named - specifically, Gretchen.

...I kinda don't want the size of this thing to be HUGE.

And I missed the note on Gretchen. I'll admit, I was skimming fast through two years of comics. Things got a little... hectic for me during most of 2011.

VERY GOOD JOB.

Read the entire thing. Only thing I noticed was the entry under Georgette was wrong. She's been seen one time since she and Monica went to her sister's pub. She showed up at Tina's Mucho Mocha place soon after the confrontation with the Calendar Machine.

This is awesome. I'll have to finish reading it another time though (or I'll never get any work done). :) There were a few things mentioned in the couple of pages I read that raised some questions for me, but I'll adress those later. :P

Yeah, I realize I have a LOT of things that needed to be updated. Like I said, the last update that I had on it was April of 2010. After that, things got a little crazy for me here in WISC.

Occasionally, though, it jumps up and bites you solidly in the posterior.

On the plus side, I'm a lot closer to Minneapolis than I used to be...

How about links to one or two comics where that character appears instead?

That's a lot easier to do with webcomics that are numbered sequentially, but not as much for a comic like Pablo's. (That would also work better with a webpage, not with a simple Word/PDF document.)

The original Word DOC of the cast of characters list was created by me back in 2008 - back when the number of characters was pretty much still manageable. When I was just adding the characters introduced since my last update, I was surprised at how many updates and additional characters I had to plug in to the cast list.

I also think that, at some point, I'm going to have to completely re-write Jin's entry.

Been a while since we have seen Jin (other than the beach scene.) I hope she doesn't go take a seat at Daren's Bar with everyone else who has come and gone.

I like this work. You are doing a great job! Thanks!
