Holy crap! It's another time skip! Considering the last time that Pickle's age was mentioned, she was 13, this means that at least one year (if not two) have elapsed. I'm not going to guess how much anyone else in the cast may or may not have aged, since previous continuity has shown that everyone can age at different rates, and that summer and winter can be less than a week apart.

And Cas? It's not any more or less logical for you to have "mammal bumps" than it is for your friend, the chunk of living metal, to have them, so chill. If you don't like looking like a mammal that much, then you can always turn into a swimsuit-covered shrub.

"Mammal Bump Fairy" don't quite have the same ring to it.

Is Norm the cute lifeguard at the resort pool? I don't recall him having been introduced by name.

Not dissimilar from "Dalek bumps", perhaps?

I'm kinda scared by Daylla's expression, there...

I notice another mammalian trait: a rush of blood to the face under certain conditions.

Oh good, someone else noticed... I'm not going crazy, then...

Well, I probably still am, but at least, this is not proof of it...

You know, I've got a bad feeling about this...

I have a feeling that some young fellow is going to sweep her off her feet... just like he has done several times before, and will try to do again. Until she catches him at it in the act. And then he becomes disparate particles blowing on the wind.

Either that or some guy plays her friend like that, and she overhears him laughing to his buddies about it. Needless to say, 'restraint' doesn't happen until after plasma occurs.

Or perhaps she does manage to control herself and doesn't vaporize him. So he kind of chuckles and says 'what are YOU going to do about it'. At which point... she demonstrates her natural form.

I remember writing up a character who was pretty high up on the power scale, and someone made a very dumb mistake and threatened their close friends. After the very brief beatdown, the reason the miscreant was still alive was: "Because I want my first kill to actually *mean* something, and you're just too damn pathetic." Maybe something along those lines.

I find it interesting that while she complains about "mammal bumps" in her social form she persistently displays what would be her most unnerving feature; those "eyes".
True, she doesn't seem to be aware of the value of those bumps yet, and may, like some, never come to terms with them as anything other than a pain. But if her default setting includes the stalked eyes she is going to have a rough time of it with anyone she takes a shine to outside the paranormal community.
On the bright side she is displaying something that may attract even more interest. She's developing a fine set of hips.

Is Cas certain that she isn't part human?

Cas is quite certain she's at least partially human. To her great consternation. :ugeek:

Coming back to the subject of the time skip, I'm guessing we won't really get a true resolution to the anchor grid arc, except to know that Bud has tightened security to restricted levels at the school, and that Katherine's concerns about the anchor will be addressed later (whether on or off camera)...

Meanwhile, what happened to the potential love triangle of Castela, Shawna, and Hiroshi?

Did their club ever investigate any other supposedly haunted site?

Did Valerie ever figure out Castela's secret (her power beams)?

Is Luci still in the amazement phase, concerning all things paranormal?

How did the mentoring go?
(Speaking of mentoring, that's now the third mentoring situation we never quite saw resolved: Monica and Cricket, Jin and Atsali, and now Luci and Castela...)

Is Digit fully acclimatized to being human, now?

With Digit being human, how does Dietzel feel about still being pint-sized?

Has Atsali already graduated? Did she have any other struggles along the way? Is she still body-conscious?
Will we ever learn anything else about her roommate (Skylar, if I recall?)
What about the teapot-turned-into-a-girl?

Seems to me that every time we do the time-skip dance, it leaves ever more plot threads dangling unresolved...

Please don't think I am trying to be unkind, but is Paul getting bored with his comic? I mean, I can't imagine him running out of ideas, so it can't be that... Or Is he trying to fast forward a little each time, in order to reach some future time frame where his next great story resides, or what?

based on the shots of Cas as a young adult i am thinking that she will be the focus going forward and he is trying to get her to adulthood.

Take a look at Daylla. That face is at least as spooky as Castela's eyes...

They're not in "public" - they're at the pool/complex run by Devyn's uncle.

Everyone there is either para or para-friendly.
