When you forget your companion isn't super-tough.

She was so happy to be there, she was in her own little world... much to the chagrin of her companion...

Way to leave an impression, there, Castela!

I see she solved the cankles issue.

And, we are further reminded just how tiny Luci is.

I do hope she remembers that she is actually a bunch of tendrils and not a real human girl, so that she can become a rope ladder, or better yet a rope harness.

If she doesn't remember, then it's past time she got back to her roots.

That is odd. Castela normally doesn't forget that she is physically exceptional even by para standards. I wonder why she would think Luci could leap the equivalent of tall buildings downward. I also wonder what her sneakers are made of that they can take that kind of abuse. Her boots blew up when she kicked that boulder, after all. Maybe she's learned to generate a force field to protect her clothing from the side effects of her powers.

Let's see how she gets Luci down to her level now.

Something isn't adding up here for me. all the others have mentors that are as powerful or more so than the one they are mentoring. I gots a feeling there is more to Luci than we have seen.

Remember Castela's casual stomping of Cricket just because she didn't like Fae, or her accidental squishing of butterfly Hiroshi (which would have been lethal to any other butterfly), or even her reflexive choking of Daylla. The reason why she needs a mentor is because she is at such a high power level and yet in many ways is still just an impulsive, emotional kid. She urgently needs to learn to tone things down and rechannel her energy when she gets worked up. And since Luci is not just some easily squishable person who Castela will have to be habitually mindful around, but is also a professional at teaching people to calm down, then she's all that much better for teaching Castela. The few people who are at Castela's level of power and durability don't have Luci's same skills.

It's like Castela was musing to "Reginald" before she knew that he wasn't really a butterfly: "Maybe this is Cricket's doing. She wanted to send you to help keep an eye on me as an impartial bystander. You know, someone cute, and adorable that'll grow on me, and I'll want to protect, thus making me think through my actions and be a better person." Only hopefully Castela won't punch Luci through a wall immediately afterward. . .

So, you're saying that our young Padavine is now studying with master Yoga, teaching her how to use her Force?

Castela forgot Luci can't survive a jump to the bottom of a canyon, and I forgot she even had the canyon in the first place...
