Nice C96 Mauser.
Not quite a c96 . . . it's a derivative model with the detachable extended magazine. Might be the Model 712.

Medusa's snakes look a little, um... Stheno suggested her little sister wasn't the sharpest light bulb in the drawer, and the snakes would seem to hint that's true.

Who would get her in such a good mood, though? I don't recall any hints before that she was even interested in anyone specific. Does this mean she's gonna come back to the comic, and hook up with someone?

Routinely, when Pablo draws her, one of her snakes is intentionally cross-eyed.

Oh! I completely forgot that, in the comic, Medusa died a long time ago. I had her confused with Euryale... Whoops!

In the original myths, Medusa, unlike her sisters, was mortal.

Yeah, that part I knew, but I'd forgotten that she was dead in the comic. For some reason I was thinking she was still alive, like they faked her death or something, and she came out of hiding recently.

Well, they did fake her death, once... Although "they" was not Euryale and Stheno, but rather Medusa and Perseus:
(Images are links to the original comic they came from)

However, she did eventually die, I guess, since they (Euryale and Stheno) talked about her in the past tense and mentioned missing her...
