I concur on the 09-05...

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

Would that inner monologue be considered "projecting"? Anyway, whatever that kind of reaction is called, she is clearly not being very objective, here... Hiroshi clearly had no say in most of what she's angry at him for... He did not force her to talk to "Reginald", nor could he control how he appeared once he transformed back. Being snarky was, I think, a reasonable answer to what she was expecting of him once he transformed, etc.

Hmm... projecting, or in denial? (Or both...)

On a plant, the flower is where they keep their reproductive organs.

Just putting that out there.

Just a question, are blackthorns self-pollinating? :ugeek:

Or to put the question differently, if Castel was sufficiently aroused could she get herself preggers?

Bud would think the whole thing was hilarious.

Brandi would try to straighten things out.

Jin would Have A Little Talk with Hiroshi.

Or maybe just youthful, sensory overload. Outgrowing the planters her previous feelings/experiences fit into, all while being annoyed by the growing pains. I don't see her being too meri about that new stem.

You're just auxin for it, aren't you?

But, I think you're basically right. I think Pickle has been trying hard to always be in control of her situation and feelings... maybe in reaction to having been abandoned and orphaned and vulnerable, and maybe as a way of maintaining a power balance with her older (powerful but often oblivious) sister. And, of course, realizing that she's a weapon who (if she loses her cool) could melt all of Terre Haute down into a puddle of cheese-mold in an instant.

Finding out that "Reginald" isn't just a helpless butterfly she can talk to safely, but actually a peer with his own (snarky) opinions and attitudes... realizing that she walked blindly into a situation of being naked with an equally naked boy... all this has got to have her feeling vulnerable and out of control of the situation again.

Add the fact that she's reacting involuntarily to the hotness of a member of a race that she still seems to seriously distrust... no wonder she's got the grumps. She is seriously in unexplored territory right now!

Don't forget, she also kissed him while he was nude. Had she already gotten dressed at that point?

She took off her top, turned to see Hiroshi, and Reginald showed up as she was putting the top back on. Then came Hiroshi's second appearance, on top of Castela, and the kiss... followed by her "Auggh! Dog germs!" tirade.

If Brandi is working on getting Hiroshi home... I figure there may be a talk with Castela coming soon. Hiroshi is no doubt filling Brandi in on what transpired. Brandi, however might not be the best one to have that talk with Castela though. I get the feeling Brandi, understanding she might be out of her league, will enlist Bud (the level headed one of the bunch) to assist in the search for Hiroshi's mother to get the story first hand so Bud can have the talk with Castela.
After all, it was Bud who showed Castela that place where she could slag whatever she wanted to practice her power.

How Ironic that Bud seems to be the best one to talk to Castella about her "Bud"ding relationship with Hiroshi....

But if that talk does happen i can see her nipping the nude stuff right in the bud.

We have yet another complication to consider.
If Hiroshi goes to Castela's school, Calista might take a shine to Hiroshi and that means yet another triangle to vex Castela.

Unless Cricket had something to do with him being turned into a butterfly...

Although, that would be one hell of a coincidence.

I can picture that pique of vengeance coming from Cricket's former mindset.
