Like Lace 2017-07-19

Post by Hansontoons »

Mea culpa.

It's like this place,
Isn't it good,
Moroccan lace...

With appleologies to Beatles Norwegian Wood...

EDIT- Ninja'd by Amarillojim and notified by Fairportfan that I botched the title. Way it goes. The sun will still rise tomorrow.

In other news...

This thread needs to be titled "Like Lace 2017-07-19"

Perhaps you could do something about that?

My fault - i misread the timestamps and posted, which is what locked it.

Perhaps a mod could delete the thread; meanwhile, you could rename it something else, like, maybe, "Nothing to see here, move along..."

Easier fix: since no one had tagged my thread, I deleted it.
As for misreading the stamps, ya gotta remember to look on the topic title stamp, not the replies! Easy goof, brother!
Hansontoons, scroll up to your initial post to put the date in the topic.

It's reassuring to know that the whole of humanity is just one government agency making a piss poor strike decision away from having earth lose a third of its crust in a single Castella-fueled unstoppable rage explosion.

And as I suspected, the only way for users to completely kill a thread is for each poster to access the post in reverse order and nibble it away.

Not to be too political, but we have pretty much the same situation in the White House ATM.

And I recall seeing copperwork like Castel's little stonework when I was in Morocco.

You can go back and edit your original posting. You won't be able to delete it, but you can change the Subject and put in the proper date, and then save the changes. That will fix how it appears in the forum thread list.

Looks like Hansontoons called it a night shortly after that post. In my PMs to he and FPF to resolve the duplicate threads, I included directions on how to edit the primary subject, I'm sure he'll fix it when next he logs in.

In the meantime, let's add ten more posts or so on how he really should change the thread's name... ;)

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

I'm sure Castela's carved rocks are very pretty, but it's going to be a hard sell, trying to convince anyone that this was done by mere "human hands"...

I don't see any reason people wouldn't believe that unless they do an analysis of the method . . . I've seen similar work done back in the 1970s with conventional methods.

If she's asked for an explanation, she can just say "That's proprietary."

And that's assuming that there's a detectable difference.
