If this was a certain other webcomic, I think we'd be saying, "Damn you, Pablo!" (shakes fist)

Saw today's title before pulling up the comic... thought Paul might have thrown in an abrupt scene change rather than citing a trope.

Is there really any other result possible than a huge spider?

I suppose since we are in the Wapsiverse, Digit might have changed into a huge spidergirl...somehow.

I could point out that I was the one who first mentioned this. But never mind that, go watch the movie. It's a lot of fun. (And with a bee for an avatar I should know about spiders...)

I am just not sure, Giant spider is the so obvious choice here and Paul is anything but obvious.

"What's that you say, Lassie? Timmy's in the well? Dang, third time today! Boy's got the brains of a wilted cucumber. What say we leave him down there and you and I go paint the town?"

(Amanda did the "Timmy's in the well" trope with Dietzel before; that was when we learned he could make gestures dogs normally are not capable of.)

I wonder how many people feel uncomfortable not wearing clothing around their pets?

Ah, but that is what would make the most obvious thing the least expected!

Tiny spider, wearing the ring like a crown. Just like we saw yesterday. Monica goes "squeeee it's so cute!!"

The big twist is nothing at all happened. :o
Whoever coined the phrase "more fun than a barrel of monkeys" obviously never spent an afternoon cramming the little buggers into one.

Hmmm... Here's hoping I'm not spoiling anything, but perhaps Digit is now a dog or some sort of dog-spider hybrid.

Or maybe even a fairy.
