I was thinking she needs to have something to DO, not just something to make money from...

This reminds me of discussions with Mrs. the Poet about what she wanted to do when she grew up (retired).
I ride my bike to ride my bike, and sometimes it takes me where I need to go.

Do you REALLY want to ask a seer about the future? Because, that always works out so well.
Seriously though, Nad probably can't really answer questions about her own future. Even one like this.

Not a valid plan, Nadette . . .
I knew someone who had that plan . . . she very nearly rode the family business down in flames due to circumstances beyond their control.
Fortunately their parents had insured that their kids knew how to live inexpensively, unlike so many.

"My Career Plan: Marry Atsali."
Proof Positive the world is not flat: If it were, cats would have pushed everything off the edge by now.

Maybe she could reference the career plan of Paris Hilton. Or the career plan of Chelsea Clinton, go into politics based on parents money and contacts.

I was just last night wondering where Mallory had gone off to.
That would likely be a full-time job. At least there would be some employment benefits.AnotherFairportfan wrote:"My Career Plan: Marry Atsali."

Well, if her parents are loaded, the first question is, what percentage of their fortune was inherited? There are basically 3 types of people who are loaded. People "A" who know how to build wealth (give them $100 and they will turn it into a million), people "B" who know how to preserve wealth (survives 70 years on the same trust fund), and people "C" who can blow through millions of dollars in a big hurry. If her parents are more people "A", then the girl in the last panel is correct. If her parents are more type "B", or worse, type "C", then Nadette is in more trouble than she knows. Though her second sight may be useful on Wall st.
