Better than wearing nothing but a ratty old t-shirt. Although maybe Tepoz likes that... Also better than wearing Evangelion school uniforms. I see those occasionally in pictures of cosplay and they give me a shudder. although no where NEAR what the sight of a small boy in a gas mask does, anymore. Those two episodes of Dr. Who has apparently traumatized me for life.

Could be worse. You could go to a 'con, and see a couple of Weeping Angels wearing gas masks.

I agree, the Empty Child was one of the creepiest and scariest stories I've seen in a long time... rather brilliant. Also one of The Doctor's greatest victories. "Oh, come on, give me a day like this, give me this one... Everybody lives, Rose; just this once, everybody lives!"

Couple that plea for a day when "Just this once everybody lives" with the current Doctor's "Immortality isn't living forever. Immortality is watching everyone else die" and we get a good take on why the Doctor likes to have a companion to keep him grounded, but tends to shift them off before they reach the stage where he might have to watch them die...

PS- 'Tea-pot' was wearing something like that Schoolgirl Uniform in the recent pic with all the other characters being Female (somebody colored it an eby-ting...)- It looked like Connie's current outfit...
