Well, Bud was recently speaking with Katherine...

Who knows, what kind of reverse psychology she might have learned from such an expert...

For, as we know, most desert ecosystems which can support a population of butterflies, also have at least a few cluebats fluttering around.

And what on this page requires Shockwave? I got 2 warnings about Shockwave not loading while I was composing this.

Must be a nasty ad. Might want to let one of the mods/bookworm/Paul know about it.

Okay, I was half right. It was a very powerful para on par with Pickle's power, but instead of being disguised, she was hiding while knowing a nigh-brainless butterfly would seek the nearest planty smelling thing.

Or perhaps Bud has metamorphosed into the next stage of her golemification programming: the Bud-erfly?

Makes sense. Like her cousin Mothra, she is a kaijū, immensely powerful, capable of causing massive destruction using blasts of energy, extremely long-lived, known to have contact with fairies, sometimes wears a cocoon, and is usually quite benevolent and protective towards humans unless subjected to some sort of mind control.

Species name Colias fulmen, I believe (common name "Amenhotep's Sulphur")

(She's also known to be quite a Budzilla in the morning if she doesn't get her coffee. It would be a bad idea to play the Folgers Crystals trick on her without notice. Gods help us all if you give her decaf.)
