Yeah. That wouldn't fit with her conversation with her mother ... unless she's cracked and gone completely Fatal Attraction and is plotting revenge on both of them...

Remember that Castela can smell emotions or when people are being deceitful. Considering that she's known Scarlet and Timothy for much of her life, she'd probably know that something's up if Scarlet starts trying to mess with her and Timothy.

As long as Castela pays attention . . . or understand what she's smelling . . .Catawampus wrote:Remember that Castela can smell emotions or when people are being deceitful. After all, why didn't she catch Timothy's attraction to Scarlet?
. . .
Actually, that might be part of the problem . . . now that Castela's nose has been rubbed in it, maybe she recognizes what she's smelling . . .

Perhaps that evidence was masked or suppressed?FreeFlier wrote:As long as Castela pays attention . . . or understand what she's smelling . . .Catawampus wrote:Remember that Castela can smell emotions or when people are being deceitful. I'd think she'd been aware of the triangle but it is Forest for the Trees and she's on the inside of her feelings- not some dispassionate external observer...

Why didn't she admit to anybody (including herself) that she was as interested in Timothy as she is? Now things are more out in the open, and there's a bit less room for denial and self-delusion. A bit less room. Plus, she'll probably be actively checking.FreeFlier wrote:After all, why didn't she catch Timothy's attraction to Scarlet?

I can state with absolute assurance that you can smell sexual attraction and still have zero idea of who's attracted to whom. Let's just say it has made for some awkward situations in the past.FreeFlier wrote:As long as Castela pays attention . . . or understand what she's smelling . . .Catawampus wrote:Remember that Castela can smell emotions or when people are being deceitful. Indeed, it's a fig instead. Or perhaps a fig leaf, at least.TazManiac wrote:Because... THIS IS NOT A DATE!

*stuffs a calendar into the pun jar for Catawampus.*
That should cover it... I think.
