If they were normal kids of that age, I'd say that's a bit convoluted for her to think up on her own. But then, these are para kids in the wapsiverse, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. Or even if it wasn't, to be honest.
There is no such thing as a science experiment gone wrong.
