Well, who among us hasn't ever been in a situation like that?

You never saw Castela being dragged like a flag flapping in a high wind either.
I ride my bike to ride my bike, and sometimes it takes me where I need to go.

Today's strip gave me gigglefits...
You know that light at the end of the tunnel?
Yeah... it's a bullet. Sorry.

So your saying that series of booms was not doors closing but barriers breaking?AnotherFairportfan wrote:At speeds approaching transonic...Opus the Poet wrote:You never saw Castela being dragged like a flag flapping in a high wind either.

That seems to be an epidemic condition at the moment.DilyV wrote:Today's strip gave me gigglefits...
I especially like Atsali's wide-eyed look in panel two.

My guess is that we'll spend the next two strips following the wake of shattered glass and bleeding eardrums.
Re: Last Minute 2016-12-20
Place your bets now on Atsali having a random encounter with a future dormmate while panic-shopping that results in rough first impressions of each other.

Re: Last Minute 2016-12-20
This situation then begs the question: what do you get for the shapeshifter who has everything? Especially this late in the shopping season?

SHirts she can wear to the movies?Dave wrote:This situation then begs the question: what do you get for the shapeshifter who has everything? Especially this late in the shopping season?

Re: Last Minute 2016-12-20
Even for Atsali, forgetting your girlfriend is excessive.
The problem is, Atsali won't think of that. I imagine books or a trinket.
Negligees. That she can wear, period.Just Old Al wrote:SHirts she can wear to the movies?Dave wrote:This situation then begs the question: what do you get for the shapeshifter who has everything? Especially this late in the shopping season?

I was looking around for something faddish and absurd to suggest, and ran across one which chilled my innards.eee wrote:The problem is, Atsali won't think of that. I imagine books or a trinket.
They're trying to repopularize the Furby. By putting it on-line.
The new versions are "connected" (via Bluetooth I suspect) to Android tablets and phones. They take behavioral downloads, and can inter-operate with "virtual" Furbys in application cyber-space.
Wonderful. I can see it now. A whole Skynet-singularity composed mostly of little blue parrot-beaked monstrosities. We may need the Chimera back, just to burn the planet clean of those pestiferous little things.
At least the online-connected Billy Bass is firmly attached to a plank on the wall.

Over at the comments at the page, someone said (interpreted in my own idiom):
PANEL TWO: {sound effect - glass breaking}

Or (for those old or retro enough to recognize it): the happy music's playing, and then suddenly interrupted by the tonearm being dragged sideways and off of the record.AnotherFairportfan wrote:Over at the comments at the page, someone said (interpreted in my own idiom):

Perhaps in Victoria's Secret or Hot Topic...…with the result of bumping into each other with Bags Of Something at the mall, and the ensuing conversation as each is so worried that the other might figure out that she didn't remember that she doesn't even wonder what her sweetie is doing there this close to Christmas…

Well, Shelly made do with a big ol jar or (organic I hope) Peanut Butter, perhaps for these two it'll be something just as topical...
