I finally read Wikipedia's summary of the movie i had carefully avoided {having been less than thrilled by the book of the same name}, yesterday.

I now understand the references in this week's comics.

This wasn't Phix's dream, it was Monica's. :ugeek:

Top hole, old fruit. Absolutely capital.

And Nudge has outsmarted herself, by adopting a fictitious persona.

Ships' doctors deal with life-and-death situations. They must be firm and be decisive. Therefore, they may never waffle.

She'll just have to make do with hardtack. Crumble it up on some good honest Naval salt pork, and it'll be just like pancakes and bacon... except different.

Only from the Wikipedia synopsis. Nudge was playing the captain of the Acheron, who was pretending (fictitiously) to be the Acheron's doctor to escape capture.

So she portrayed a classic French Officer (run and hide) to Shelly's classic British Officer ("absolutely spiffing, old bean,")

With the number of YouTube links being thrown around in this forum, none of which are on this page, I think you will have to be a bit more specific... :P

Phix is having weird dreams because she ate someone who disagreed with her.

I read your post, and immediately my mind went to the Cosby Show episode where Cliff is having a nightmare, which is explained, within the nightmare, as being because he ate something that disagreed with him. Of course, that explanation was being offered by a very large, talking submarine sandwich... To which Cliff replied in the negative... See, we're disagreeing right now, said the sub...

Phix needs to seek a cure at the Argument Clinic. Or, possibly, just take bicarbonate (but then she might rumba, as Curly Howard once said...)

and Phix has fainted/ given up...

'glamour' was talked about 'way back in Oct 2014...

Imagination gone wild in the Library, the only question remaining; was Phix caught up in the game, or did they just imagine how she would react if a naval battle broke out in the Library.

and be very careful as go to get waffles, the floor is lava and if you touch it you will die . . . .
