Oh, Yes ... I feel the 'LOVE'.
And still on another note ... 'OUCH!'

Is The Earth On A Diet?

will the earth weigh 1,000,000 pounds less?

We are definitely still in Looney Tunes mode. I love it!

I don't suppose Nudge saying "I Farted" would break the tension? NnnnYyyyMaybe. It would be unexpected.
Re: Dare You 2012-09-11
i think Phix is asking to be kissed like a looney toon!

Heh. Reminds me of this particular comic.sonicthunder wrote:And this is about the time Nudge grabs Phix's nose and makes a honk sound.
What? It's my first reaction to the line "Test me again, I dare you."

And a brass nameplate, with a weird title. It's the title that makes it art...zachariah wrote:Look. Modern art. Sheepish Nudge implanted in Wall. All they need is the discrete little light to make it easy to view.

Bugs Bunny would also say that sometimes.... and I do believe that Elmer did get to say it at least once.Fairportfan wrote:Ummm ... Porky Pig...as363 wrote:As Elmer Fudd would say - "Thaaaats all Folks"
On other news..... I've heard of hard headed people, but with a dent like that on the wall and that grin on her face, I think Nudge takes the cake

When I read what Phix said it sounded like Samuel Jackson (Pulp fiction) for some reason . . .LOL
Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?

That grin is practically begging for a *grin* sound effect next to it

I agree. She's ticked off major, but knows both that she's been played once more, and that Nudge was right. But she has to do something, to try to reassert herself in front of Nudge.Boxilar wrote:Ah, Phix is saving face here. She knows Nudge was right, she's just annoyed at having her face rubbed in it. And Nudge knows that, hence the S**t Eating Grin.
I do like the honking of the nose option, but I see two other options available, here:
1 - Nudge gets all serious and academic, saying "Nah, once the subject is aware of the test, it invalidates the results," or something to that effect.
2 - Nudge goes "Sure," then extricates herself from the wall, climbs back to the window, and makes a show of being about to jump again. Meanwhile, Phix acts all unconcerned, maybe even verbally scorning Nudge, and basically "calling her bluff"... until Nudge actually does jump out again. It may then take a moment or two for Phix to realize that Nudge actually did it again, and Phix dives to save Nudge again. Comments to the effect of "I can't believe you did that again", and "Well, you told me to do it again, I wouldn't want to disappoint you" follow. Hilarity ensues.
I don't think Phix could actually stay mad, after that second one... exasperated, shaking her head in unbelief at Nudge's crazy antics, but not mad. Who knows, she may even get a laugh out of it.

Looks frantically around, expecting to see somewhat broken Trickster on rocks below.lake_wrangler wrote:2 - Nudge goes "Sure," then extricates herself from the wall, climbs back to the window, and makes a show of being about to jump again. Not even a damp spot.
Hears hysterical laughter. Looks around.
Nudge is hanging from a ledge just below the window.
"Gotcha!"
Phix wheels in mid-air, uses wingtip to brush Nudge loose.
Grabs Nudge about three inches shy of SPLAT Event...

I just realised something.

Appropriate, considering the date.....

Indeed. Can't help but wonder whether that was planned a while back, a last minute thing or a mere coincidence...NOTDilbert wrote:I just realised something.
