That was one of those moments when I'm glad I work alone. The loud bark of laughter and subsequent giggle fit would have only deepened my reputation if it had been witnessed...

Yup. I'm just as glad i was alone at the end of last night's Dr Who (i forgot it was on last night, but i'd set the DVR) when we got to the punchline...

As i said on another forum (many of my readers will know where...):

...Now, there's more than a little pathos, particularly concerning the central non-TARDIS-related character, and the situation Rory and Amy are in at the beginning of the episode, and it's pretty good pathos.

But the punchline...

ARRRGGGHHHH!

...Er, that was entirely set up by last season's ending? It's the Ultimate Question? The one that's not 'What is 6 x 7?'

Just saying, you'll be seeing a lot of that, uh, this season and/or you're a few months late to slap Moffat for that particular joke.

Also, I couldn't help but notice the central question of the episode was actually, "Why?" --And the reason having to do with what kept making the Daleks stronger made my mind immediately flash to the current Wapsi.

I was reading Misfile before my internet hiatus, I had only gotten to where they'd gone to the main character's mother's place for the summer or summat like that. I was enjoying the strip. I think I need to pick it back up...
