Apparently it is "And Now For Something Completely Different" week, which seems a fine way to begin Year 15.

Subject to a certain amount of freckle-displacement effect. Possibly that's their universe's equivalent to Spock's Beard.shadowinthelight wrote:Gee, I wonder which Wapsi couple these two resemble...

There's a severe mammary deficiency for these to resemble those we know... I love the 'Spockbrow' look on the Devil girl's face

Yeah - first thought was Atsali and Nadette cosplay...

Are these two the ones who sit on Paul's shoulders?
Re: Angel And Devil Gal 2015-09-10
That's what I thought too... Maybe Euryale and Shelly... poking fun at Atsali and da bear...AnotherFairportfan wrote:Yeah - first thought was Atsali and Nadette cosplay...

Then i read the title.

It may very well be the personification of the two that sit on his shoulders. If so they are cutie pies

We've had lots of gods in Wapsi Square, and some very different views of various mythologies. Could this be the first sign that we're going to get into Judaeo-Christianity, as well?
Re: Angel And Devil Gal 2015-09-10
While not overtly spelled out, I've always thought Wapsi-verse rested on the notion that 'the Old Gods', and then 'Modern' Mythology, and subsequent current Religion rested on real beings, often mis-understood, half forgotten and generally mis-quoted over the eons.
(Well, how ever interesting that turned out to be, I drifted off my original point...)
I'm thinking it might be that it's less sticky to deal with characters the farther back into the mists of time you go, and more problematic dealing with what some current people might find offensive, even blasphemous, if working Abrahamic entities into the narrative.

That's what I thought too... I've always regarded the Abrahamic faiths as a can of worms... Not worth the trouble as far as incorporating into fiction.TazManiac wrote:I'm thinking it might be that it's less sticky to deal with characters the farther back into the mists of time you go, and more problematic dealing with what some current people might find offensive, even blasphemous, if working Abrahamic entities into the narrative.

True enough--some people get really bent if you step on their beliefs--best not to go there unless you want to pick a fight.GlytchMeister wrote:That's what I thought too... all that aside,
Looking at today's "filler". It looks to me like Euryals happy face with Atsali's wings on one side and Atsali's 'naughty' expression and freckles on t'other--two sides of the same coin? IDK, maybe it is the two bear sisters doing improve ? (could be, they are Ursamorphs after all)
Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?

There was a pretty large time gap between Creation and the Flood in Genesis, and though that Noah film was derided heavily, I do like the general ideas.

- I've noticed I have an appreciation of Freckles.
- Paul has a 'style' and of course it has evolved over time, but it's also true that a lot of his drawings come from the Mr. Potato Head School of 'i-put-out-a-new-pic-five-days-a-week, what-are-you-complaining-about Design.
- Angel-Girl vs Devil-Girl; One gets disappointed over time and the other gets bored and wanders... damn, I've lived a long time already.
