So, the sand bar re-built itself after the explosion?

There's more than one sand bar in the world...and with the trees in the background, it's a bit sturdier than a sand bar.

Or they found another ... or this is an "Imaginary Story" ...

"U296"? Is that a Minneapolis reference?

My first thought was "uranium", but the heaviest uranium isotope is only 238...

I remember it being mentioned when color references were asked of Paul.

I should have figured that one out but missed. Great idea and great print.

No, that's a reference to the U-269 U-boat which blew up the previous sand bar, wherein Bud found the vimana cell currently inside Jin and which played a supporting role in Shelly's Time Forest interlude.

I notice that Tina is at the bar again; granted that she's the best barrista there, I hope she enjoys it enough to do it on her days off.

Too bad the sub was blown to Smithereens (a small town in southeast Arkansas)* Would have been cool to use recognizable parts to build a beach bar.....

So, this is island # 3? (Sandbars don't count)

Indeed, this is a pleasant respite from the heavy storytelling of the last couple of weeks. I can almost feel bad for Nudge; that looks like it might be painful.

She's a bunch of demons "with an entrepeneurial spirit". Off course she'd start a tiki-bar on their new-found Island/Atoll.

Just keep Bud, Jin and M away from splodey stuff, and she could run a profit too. What sailor wouldn't like to be served a drink on an Island brimming with girls like that??
but, why 42?

Surely something survived of Island #2. I mean, Bikini Atoll is still there.

Maybe this is Earth 55, Tina Guzman is wearing contacts and Nudge is on recon.

But I'd vote for it being Summer 2013, and all is right with the world.

Something i really haven't mentioned before: I am truly impressed by Nudge's neck muscles.

RIver Tam can kill you with her mind. Nudge could kill you with her neck.

Would I be out of line if I mentioned how much I enjoyed the art-work of this strip - without getting into any sort of meaning behind every thing in sight ??

Perfect way to memorialize the sub by naming the Bar after it. However.... I perfer Longhaired Shelly to pixie cut. She just looks waaaaay sexy - er. ;)
