Atsali wins both ears and the tail.

ESPECIALLY the tail.

Well... Jason WILL find happiness... and Atsali will find a happy bear... until she says "no" again...

Yeah this doesn't necessarily push the vision in Nadette's favor. Though I'll still plant my feet in the dirt and say Jacob should still be added to the cast.

There's also the worrying thought that Atsali might think every boy she truly likes will be 'turned' gay. A silly notion of course but she's a teenager, they're full of silliness.

It may be that Jacob was always intended to be a bit character. A throwaway. It's possible he's served his purpose in the plot and now he's gone.
What purpose?
I'd guess he was created to help illustrate Atsali's entrance into womanhood. Now that we all know Atsali is capable of having adult thoughts and feelings and... Whatnot... Jacob's being Put on a Bus.

Its good to have friends who are willing to drop everything and rush over to help heal the pain. Totally selfless and without a single ulterior motive. The kind of friend that takes cya to a whole new level.

That is where good and loving friends come into the picture.

Honestly, I don't think anything you do would keep you under the radar..
So, basically- 'Baby, to me, you glow-in-the-dark, why try and hide it under a bushel?'

I'm not so sure. It might be more like because she's the school queen, everyone's paying too close attention for her to escape detection.

Also, FTFY

Did I mis-read that Jacob asked out a guy he had been interested in?

You did not mis-read. Or, if you did, so did I, and with the same interpretation.

Considering that the idea of oracular forecasting usually leans towards "If told directly, no one will learn to think on their own", maybe the happiness involving Atsali won't be involving Atsali as much as Atsali getting involved in helping someone else's involvement.

And yes, I meant that exactly as it sounded. I cant help if Yogi Berra is one of my spiritual mentors.

The best laid plans of mice // moose // bears and men...

Outcome uncertain. Try again.

Well Atsali's just downed a bad pill,
seems her romance has took a bad spill,
her plans have backfired
the dude she desired
is queer as a three dollar bill

she seeks sympathetic advice
from Nadette, who answers quite nice
but Berdine seems to worry
Nadette's ears seem too furry
and she grew out her tail in a trice!

So now that the goat-boy's departed
Atsali seems rather down hearted
while Nadette seems to glow
with pheromones at full flow

... isn't THIS the same place where we started?
