I'd take a guess that the zombie apocalypse and there only being a few humans left might also help...

Also, I'd heavily recommend reading that comic; the art is stellar and the story is actually quite fun despite the zombies...

I hope it's that simple and goes down that easily in the end with Atsali...but teenagers, so probably not.

"Simple" makes for a nice life, but for a dull storyline.
