Ah, yesterday was clarification for the photo today.
A place to discuss the world of Wapsi Square

Indeed. I'm still at the stage where I can see that page, but if I click on the "back" button on the page, yesterday's page still doesn't have a "forward" button towards today's page...Aed wrote:For those in need.

My guess is that in the paranormal circles of the Wapsiverse, it is known as the Sirens and Incubus talk.DilyV wrote:... Good luck having the birds and bees talk with Atsali.

Also, why would the Bear Twins have a picture of the suicide girl? She doesn't appear to be the same race as the Ursamorphs (unless their "natural" form is horned). It's just another one of those Pablo mysteries.
I wouldn't say cause I'd be willing to bet Atsali blames her own obliviousness as a contributing factor.DilyV wrote:Well, I think it's obvious that Atsali and the girl were friends... Though the flow of the last three comics seem to point to the fact that Atsali may have been the cause of the girl's suicide, I really hope that's not the case. I don't believe Atsali would have been giving vibes like she did with Nadette to the other girl... both seem too young for that sort of thing.
She probably feels that with her smarts, she should have noticed something wrong. Guilt over one's own absent-mindedness is a curious thing, believe you me. I've often pondered if I could have used an assistant like the Laputaians in Gulliver's Travels, to gently bop me in the head with a inflated bladder to keep me in the here and now.shadowinthelight wrote:I wouldn't say cause I'd be willing to bet Atsali blames her own obliviousness as a contributing factor.DilyV wrote:Well, I think it's obvious that Atsali and the girl were friends... I think the artist has only so many faces he can draw, given his style.oldmanmickey wrote:Does that picture remind any0one besides me of someone we have seen before? I keep thinking of Bia

um, I'd say more like a Shakespearean slip... that sounds like a word he'd use, and i "KNOW" I've heard it; whether it's a legitimate word or not, I'm not sure, but i have heard it used that way before...shadowinthelight wrote:A bit of a Freudian slip there?Vitrvarg wrote:Looks like we have a backstory in the offing, I look forward to it.
Yes, that confused me at first, too. Especially since the wood floor we see in the third panel would go more with what we see of the Bear Sisters' house in the background in panel two than the industrial look of the Gilchrist apartment. But the only way the line "I'll see you two too. Promise!" makes sense is if Atsali is the one saying it, to Berdine.Gyrrakavian wrote:That would be Sali holding the photo.Opus the Poet wrote:I think Nadette needs hugs now, but is doing OK otherwise.

Oh, but, they already did...DilyV wrote:Kath? Good luck having the birds and bees talk with Atsali.
