What has she done to her plumage?

Wing Boner FTW!

Hope she can keep from doing that whenever she sees him...

Well, that reflex is certainly going to complicate matters. Completely spoils the casual-chance-encounter vibe... it's a more blatant giveaway than any blush or stammer. It would probably violate all sorts of "kids, don't give the mundanes any clue that you aren't a standard-issue human being" rules, too.

A cold shower beforehand... might not help. I doubt that a sudden involuntary display of cold, soggy plumage would be any less conspicuous.

Poor kid... her life isn't getting any simpler.

Her hair has once again made the journey to 3D space.

The back of her shirt, however, seems to have gone ahead to 4D space, seeing as how her wingeruption has neither deformed nor rent the fabric.

Possibly an eldrich potion, summoned from the misty aisles of Rite-Aid, known (to those few entrusted with the knowledge) by the fearsome and hallowed name of "creme rinse"?

Check frame #4, below Atsali's eyes -- is she blushing?

Also, is she going to have a problem maintaining her form in public? Suddenly showing wings could get her grounded. Fortunately she has a way of making people forget her in the short term, long term everyone will convince themselves they were day dreaming or hallucinating (except for supernatural investigators).

This isn't the first time. She must always buy tops cut low in the back.

Or else her wings phase through.

Shelly's appear to, also.

Or it could simply be there is space inside space and the two go through each other without touching. Like when Pickle was running with scissors.

Wow, she really likes this guy. I can't wait to meet him. [casually cracks knuckles]
Not sure why, but this storyline is poking at my protective-big-brother instincts. Which is weird since I'm the youngest of two boys.

No ones commenting on the fact that Atsali's wearing glasses here? Where did that come from? Why's she wearing glasses all of a sudden?

Is this the first time in continuity comics? Steampunk Atsali had both glasses and goggles, and other posters have had glasses. Possibly sunglasses, mind ...
