Sort of like that "Micro Ventures" segment on the Banana Splits show.

Once again it looks like Pablo is mining the fora. Of course he's scripted these things out weeks in advance so it only looks like he's mining the fora. Just because someone else was able to look up stuff on Wikipedia that said the same thing doesn't mean Pablo's research didn't reveal the same article. Besides, who reads Wapsi for factual information? I wouldn't if I were a student of classical mythology.

Awwwwwwwww they're bonding!

And Cricket continues to prove that, in some things, she's a pretty together and mature young lady, able to look beyond appearances.
Her demons aren't manifesting and trying to influence her. Maybe Monica didn't open that particular door for her, after all.

Of course they are. When the spider first appeared Deitzel was feeling jumpy so they have that in common.Drakkenmensch wrote:Awwwwwwwww they're bonding!
Sadly this friendship won't last. When Deitzel returns to normal size lil spidy will avoid him.
Ambush questions are fun. Watching the mental impact of them as they distort, or crumble, opinions based on faulty logic.

Punjar repair man, that recently up graded the pun jar to 2.0 now with self defense and and evil ai that will try to kill you, if you even try to hurt it for doing its job...
Re: Curious Explorer 2014-09-23
ok, no one else has asked this question (that I've seen), so I'll bite (pun unintended)
To Calista, what is the difference between a spider that is a "little sweetie bear" and "comfort food"?
of course, with access illusionary magic and a need to be 'tough', the spider from Calista's lunch bag could of been something like a ordinary sandwich?
.
hmmmm .... unintended or not, I guess I'd better feed the pun jar?
one, or not, for the pun jar.

I think Cricket is learning the lessons she needs to learn.
Proof Positive the world is not flat: If it were, cats would have pushed everything off the edge by now.

The former hasn't been deep-fried, yet?Grantwhy wrote:To Calista, what is the difference between a spider that is a "little sweetie bear" and "comfort food"?
As they say on the farm, "If you're going to eat it, don't name it." This reportedly minimizes the emotional difficulties involved in (e.g.) "Wilbur" becoming "bacon".
You may be right about Castela's "comfort food" having been somewhat illusory, though. Calvin was notorious for rebranding his food, to gross out Suzi Derkins... I think he once announced that his bologna sandwich was actually made of sliced dachshund... and what he said his desert was, had my wife desperately saying "erase that mental image!!"
On the other hand, "bear claws" are a popular confection that even the ursamorph twins might enjoy without guilt or horror.

I always name the things I'm going to eat when I loved on the farm. The pig was "Bacon Bits" the cow was "Sir Loin of Steak", the chickens were the "Nugget Sisters"...
But then again I had a strange take on things back when I was a kid.
