Re: Castela Fourth 2014-07-04
Well, Castela is now in fine shape to play the role of the piece of string which walks into a bar, in her school's next situation comedy play. She can introduce herself with the classic line "Hi, I'm A Frayed Knot" with a straight face (assuming she bothers to put on a face at all, that is).

Yes, Castela... Now quit clowning around, pull yourself back together, grab your sun-block lotion and get ready; we're going to the beach.

With Castela "Wile E. Coyote" Gilchrist around we'll probably be seeing a lot more like this in the future. I look for forward to it.Sphinx-Napped wrote:i learned that the hard way in the very beginning..of waspi due Paul's outlandish characters and his zany sense for comedy.. which also surprises me that someone from pauls fanbase hasn't tried to sue for damages to there computersDilyV wrote:Note to self: Never... repeat, NEVER read Wapsi Square while drinking anything.

Why would Castela need sunblock lotion? She's part plant. Or may the rating of her sunblock is SPF negative 60.Radical_Knight wrote:Yes, Castela... Now quit clowning around, pull yourself back together, grab your sun-block lotion and get ready; we're going to the beach.

I learnt that drinking anything while looking at stuff on the 'net was a dangerous thing back when I first found The Skippy List .Sphinx-Napped wrote:i learned that the hard way in the very beginning..of waspi due Paul's outlandish characters and his zany sense for comedy.. which also surprises me that someone from pauls fanbase hasn't tried to sue for damages to there computersDilyV wrote:Note to self: Never... repeat, NEVER read Wapsi Square while drinking anything.

I also learnt that day that I can laugh with a mouth full of coffee and (barely) not spit/spill any

anyone else see a plot clue in the last panel?
one thought bubble + a separate speech bubble.
remember back on the island?
is this a clue/confirmation of another personality/person?

I think you're reading into that a bit much.

I think it is more like that derisive grunt a person gives when they realize that they are screwed (ie: (after dropping a serving tray of food) I knew I could do it. (snort) Yea right!!!) followed by the "MOM" of acceptance that they need help.Grantwhy wrote:anyone else see a plot clue in the last panel?

Yeah, the ellipsis* just seems to be a pause where somebody's looking for something to say, but have been struck speechless. A common enough comic trope.
*I'd forgotten it was called that and did searches for "dot dot dot" and "speechless pause" before finding the page linked above.
