Grandma Lili is not comfortable with the company even though she was invited? 5000 years of experience looks like it might be a bit difficult to throw off.

Lily's been vomiting? Well, that may explain why she's smoking - some smokers claim it will settle their stomach. Don't know if tobacco smoke works for vampires.
Yes, cannabis is a very effective anti-emetic - but that looks like a regular tobacco cig, plus I suspect a rucus if she toked around the kids. I think she's more responsible than that, anyway. THIS IS NOT A CHALLENGE TO ANYONE'S VIEWS ON THE LEGALITY ISSUES SURROUNDING CANNABIS USE. But you knew that - you're adults.

I know, he would probably enjoy a cake more like this one but it doesn't have his name on it.Opus the Poet wrote:So, why the tractor tire?

I see the self levitating cigarette, or cigar, still exists. A fine example is in panel one. While this may be the only way to have a character talk while smoking and not holding the cig in their hand, it still looks funny. In real life it would quickly fall straight down off the lips. In a swim suit that could be painful. Before anyone says, Wapsi Physics I know it happens but we don't see it often.
Notice that Lily is the only smoker we've seen in the strip. She can smoke and not worry about it as it simply cannot harm her. But none of the others smoke unless you count Monica and then only when she's on fire.

Ambush questions are fun. Watching the mental impact of them as they distort, or crumble, opinions based on faulty logic.

Happy B-Day Mister P. - and many more - and as we have had some Irish episodes in the past - May I offer this..
May the Road rise up to meet you
May the Wind always at your back
May the Sun shine warm upon your face
And may you always find a soft spot to fall down in.

Are Suzie and Tsali possibly related? They have a pair of outstanding similarities...

For all we know, she could have been the same way 5001 years ago. All that we know about her life from before she was a vampire was that she was pregnant.Opus the Poet wrote:Grandma Lili is not comfortable with the company even though she was invited? 5000 years of experience looks like it might be a bit difficult to throw off.

I wonder how many of our not-fully-human female characters here can become pregnant. Apparently gorgons and sphinxes and sirens and titans can do so. I don't see any particular reason why Nudge-critters couldn't do so. Tsillah, golems and adult Whatsits each present rather strange biological and/or physical situations. And while I expect that Monica would be just like an ordinary human in this respect, her case presents the rather disturbing question of what happens if during her pregnancy something happens and her body resets itself to its stored Calendar Machine story-arc version.Fairportfan wrote:Grandma's pregnant?

One of the many, many side jobs I've done over the years is making and decorating cakes. A little while ago, a lady was having a My Little Pony themed baby shower and ordered a cake from me. It was of a freestanding pony figure (I have no idea which character: a silvery unicorn with lavender hair), about three feet tall. Alcohol was served at the party (I'm assuming that the mother didn't partake) and things apparently got a little bit carried away. By the end of the event, the pony's head was impaled on a sharpened broomstick and suspended somehow from the ceiling of the eatery that they had rented for the evening.Wyvern wrote:After seeing the 'What MLP character are you' thing over on Facebook, I offer these.
I think that I shall continue my current status of having never attended a baby shower. . .it seems safer that way.
Re: Be Okay 2014-04-11
The 'silvery unicorn with lavender hair' would be Rarity. (Upon experimentation, the forum board doesn't seem to process BBCode image scaling commands. Darn.) Does this unicorn look familiar? The 'Mane Six' characters are helpfully given obviously different character designs, so it's easy to describe which one you mean.Catawampus wrote:One of the many, many side jobs I've done over the years is making and decorating cakes.
