Soup! As my little Jewish grandmother would say, "It couldn't hurt."

I wouldn't be so sure without tasting it. Kids can have some... strange ideas about ingredients for cooking. Image

It's a virus going round. My wife has it and has been down for two days and is not making a lot of progress. It may take longer than Monday to get better if it's the same thing. So good luck Paul. Lots of liquids, something to allow you to breathe and sleep, lots of Tylenol to handle the aches and pains. Saw the doc and nothing else is going to kick this but rest and care. The soup will help.

I wonder if Sali soaked her feet in it would it taste like chicken soup?

Especially when they are a plant/animal hybrid?

At that age "I made/cooked it for you" can (but not always) be one of the most terrifying things they can say :D

Hopefully Atsali 'helped' as well ;)

I just hope it's not vegetable soup. That would be...yeah, I hope it's not vegetable soup...

I hope you feel better very soon. Being sick really stinks, yet you gave us a darling picture of Castella. Thanks so much; take care of yourself and don't push it.

If Baby Sister made it, there is a good chance she will know the right herbs and spices to boost health. I also vote for Atsali swishing her dirty little birdy feet around in the broth. Who knows? Maybe Siren Toe-Jams are the cure for the common crud.

If that's the case, you're probably going to want next week off. If this is the full blown flu, take however much time you need. I think we'll all understand.

Absolutely.

And don't give it to your family.

Since I have spent most of the day going to the toilet, I feel for you. Take all the time off you need, you will not lose any of us while you get better.

Major bummer. Positive waves sent for a swift recovery.

It's allergy time in Houston now. Pine and Oak pollen the main offenders right now. So much for walking the dog for a couple of weeks as I try to limit my exposure. It's supposed to rain this weekend, sure hope it does and washes the nasty stuff out of the air and trees.

Yeah, we just know that it is a substance that can be described by some as "soup", not that it necessarily is edible. Or healthy to even be in the vicinity of. "I added some radium, to give you that radiant healthy glow!"

Then she'd also have to leave out any poultry. Her options for ingredients would be rather slim. Even rock soup would be iffy, given who three of her aunts are.
