Coupled with the thoughts about the "special nature" of Oscar, I'm half-expecting a sound like POIT! and both Katherine and Samaritan looking at her empty hands while Oscar pops up in a nearby Minneapolis lake...Opus the Poet wrote:the onomatopoeia of today's comic made me giggle. Also if he gets that bad with just a drop of ice-cream in his bowl, he must have looked like he was dying the first time it happened with all that gas in his gut. No wonder K is frantic.

Re: For My Fish 2012-08-01
Sorry, phpBB doesn't have threaded capabilities, that's what the "quote" button is for.
Re: For My Fish 2012-08-01
And what good is threading if the posts you've already read aren't distinguished from the new posts?Wapsi wrote:Sorry, phpBB doesn't have threaded capabilities, that's what the "quote" button is for.
Using threading on Usenet or mailing lists with a specialized reader that keeps track of read and unread posts and has filtering and sorting capabilities is very handy, but the way the comments on the web site were it was just getting tedious and time-consuming looking for new posts the longer a discussion went on...

I'm just glad I wasn't eating this morning when I read today's strip. I have to wake up early to teach classes, and on occasion I'll check Wapsi on my phone before rolling out of bed. This morning I was giggling so hard I was afraid I'd wake up my wife.

It really is something to ponder
in this wierd internet yonder
that we discuss the art

yet none of us seem any blonder...

But a study has revealed that in the world of fish, farting is an important social tool.
Canadian and UK researchers have discovered that herring create underwater fart noises, suggesting they communicate by breaking wind.

I don't think Oscar has a future as a jet-propelled fish. Not outside the Parodius series anyway.

Katharine's eyes get spookier every time we see her.
(BTW: All i need is to wind up somehow involved, somewhere where there's a "Catharine", and i'll have "Katharine", "Kathryn" (Kate), "Kathrin" (my sister) and "Catharine" to keep straight...)

Hm....
If I war a bettin' man, and I ain't sayin', I'd have bet that no-one could have filled a week with comics about a farting fish being taken for a walk by his owner.
Now I'm wonderin' just how far Paul could carry this topic (and keep it interesting).....
The spin-off: Wapsi Square: The FishFart Chronicles.

If the forum had been up a day or two earlier I would have made the comment that Oscar's dialog seemed to have been scripted by Bill the Cat.
