Okay, seriously - we have to be dealing with a "birthday party" for Tina 2.1.

Alright! Who wants to tap that keg?

A trickster with a keg. This won't end gracefully.

Riptide Red from the Beach Chalet, San Francisco (which doesn't seem to taste right unless you are sitting on the back patio of Berkeley's Jupiter brew pub, listening to, oh say Mingus Among Us or somebody)
OR maybe Shark Attack Double Red Ale, which was a surprising good gamble once discovered.
Oh, wait, dis aint dat Forum, aint it?

Also soft drinks suitable for Atsali and Castela and whomever has
to avoid alcohol.
Is there a designated Vorper?

Yeah, it doesn't have to be Alcohol, Alcohol All the Time- I can do some deee-lightful things with Tropical Fruits and Juices...
And I was going to mention, before, "Be Careful not to Drink & Poit" but it sounded... funny.

Someone else can hunt them down, but Monica has a lot of experience in that area.TazManiac wrote:And I was going to mention, before, "Be Careful not to Drink & Poit" but it sounded... funny.

There is the argument that she is a better poiter when drunk. Of course, Bud and Kevin would dispute that.

Re: Island Party 2014-02-07
We haven't seen evidence that Atsali, Pickle and Kath are present... Under the circumstances, and coming so close on the heels of Atsali's near meltdown regarding Tina's 'makeup' it might not be a good idea this time. I think this might be a meeting of those who know who and what Tina is to discuss what she's become and how to proceed from here. Not the kind of conversation you want to have with a 16 and 6 year old present.
Of course, you know Atsali... She's prolly thinking; "Café U-296... can't be local... I'd have heard of it. Let's see what the Stargate maps have to say..."
I'd say that Tina needs time with known friends first... Friends who know full well what she is, what she's capable of, and what she's capable of becoming.

Hopefully Tepoz is there to detoxify those who have over-induldged to the point the can't shoot (or poit) straight. Even moreso, if that's one of Nudge's concoctions....

And when it's empty, perhaps Phix will supply a bottle of very, very old Scotch whisky that she was saving for... ?GuySmiley wrote:Aye, laddie.Catawampus wrote:Well, it's. . .Dave wrote:But, a keg of what???

Ok, I don't even drink, and the concept of a high-quality scotch whiskey being kept by a sphinx for hundreds of years sends shivers down my spine.Dave wrote: And when it's empty, perhaps Phix will supply a bottle of very, very old Scotch whisky that she was saving for... ?

What if the Library has an Alcohol Section!?!
He's mister GlytchMeister, he's mister code
He's mister exploiter, he's mister ones and zeros

Take it from an old National Guard trooper, beer alone does not a party make.TazManiac wrote:Yeah, it doesn't have to be Alcohol, Alcohol All the Time- I can do some deee-lightful things with Tropical Fruits and Juices...

In the heat of the sun (and those incredibly hot NATO camo uniforms) any cool alternative to alcohol is welcome.
Our end-of-the-summer-annual drill ritual included dumping the company commander ( and his lackeys if we could catch them) into a jeep trailer full of ice water that once held the beer, sodas, and bottled water.
He usually took it in stride, and I eventually qualified for the dunking.
Once you get over the shock it's actually a relief from the heat of Oklahoma, Texas, or wherever we found ourselves.

A centuries-old whiskey would. . .probably be rather horrible, actually. While scotch is one of those drinks that does get improved by aging (as long as it is in the barrel, at least), even it has its limits. You reach a point where you go from, "Mmmm, tasty!" to "Ummm, was this from the barrel that Lord Nelson was kept in?".GlytchMeister wrote:Ok, I don't even drink, and the concept of a high-quality scotch whiskey being kept by a sphinx for hundreds of years sends shivers down my spine.
The Library would have every brewing and distilling recipe that was ever jotted down, though, and Phix would have had a lot of time to experiment with building stills and whatnot. . .
