It's a good bet that Katharine will never wear that shirt again.

Speaking of metal...
The guy with the guitar watching TV, BTW, is the one who actually played the guitar solo; his name is Donald Roeser.
He sorta had a hand in creating the metal sound.
Maybe you never heard of Don Roeser.
How about Buck Dharma?
You know - the guy who wrote (and played guitar and sang lead on) a couple little ditties named "Don't Fear the Reaper" and "Godzilla"?

Don't forget "Buck's Boogie" Killer song.

That snarl is a reminder that under her sweet nature, there is a predator lurking. I'm thinking Atsali will need to spend some time with Aunt Monica and Aunt Shelly learning how to keep her more feral side in check.
Seems to be a recurring theme with the Wapsi women.

Actually, the only time we've seen anything like a feral side to Atsali is when she pounces on Castela. Maybe she should get in touch with her inner Hobbs....

Re: Heavy Metal 2014-01-30
The boys probably look at Atsali and ask "Can I sit next to you, girl?" thinking she is a problem child and anything goes. Inevitably they will end up shot down in flames. Boys at that age are stupid. They will accuse her of being a ballbreaker, then turn around and beg "Baby, please don't go". Getting rejected always feels like getting kicked in the teeth. Putting yourself out there does take big balls, though.

Re: Heavy Metal 2014-01-30
We haven't seen any feral behavior from Atsali, but then, we haven't seen anything that would tease it out of her.
If Castella is to be believed, Atsali doesn't like the fact that she's a siren and has likely been avoiding exploring the part of her psyche that goes along with being a predatory avian.
And as Monica and Shelly have shown, failing to deal with your more feral side as a paranormal can have disastrous results.

Re: Heavy Metal 2014-01-30
well I hope there are Dio, Def Leppard, Meat Loaf, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kiss, Twisted Sister, and more lined up.....
and well, I'm sure Kath will be happy to be back in black soon, and join in!!
Atsali is no problem child, she just wants to prove she is not just that stereotype, she wants to be accepted by the older girls...
and hey, even elvis had that snarl...

Somehow I suspect that Atsali does her best to seem a total nerd, so the boys will end up concluding she doesn't have a clue, let alone interest. i.e. She doesn't see how great we are, so she must be frigid or lesbian. It is always easier to blame the other party for your shortcomings.shadowinthelight wrote:The boys probably look at Atsali and ask "Can I sit next to you, girl?" thinking she is a problem child and anything goes. For comedy, there will however be one boy (another nerd) who is only interested in Atsali for her science project/lab notes. Maybe a paranormal type derived from a small herbivore. Life gets interesting when Atsali decides he is her boyfriend, when he rather it was friend who is a boy. Shelly would be needed to straighten her out.
While misery loves company, chaos brings along friends.

Some things are best left in the past, and allowed to fade out to become Ancient Mysteries mentioned occasionally on obscure cable-TV shows shown at 4 in the morning and watched only by insomniac security guards.Jabberwonky wrote:Oh,hell, Fairport, now we're going to have to explain 8-tracks to the young 'unsFairportfan wrote:Speaking of metal...
Re: Heavy Metal 2014-01-30
This one is cool in it's own right, I personally liked the first one better, it showed an innocence but mischievous side. This one just makes her look like a bad girl, which she really isn't so far. Hope that isn't things to come

Atsali is definitely showing a growing love of music. She's starting to find herself and to love who she is.
