And we're off to the races!!!!

Yes Atsali... finding the right size bra is very hard. You would think that there would be some standard sizing that all bra makers must adhere to but noooOOOOooooo!!!

It sure is harder than it has to be. But then I tend to run into the same problem with finding a pair of jeans... the world of fashion is definitely not geared to the short, round female body type.

Has anyone noticed that Sali's clothes keep changing? When does she find the time and why is she carrying so may different ones. She started in a dress and a under tunic. Then she lost the blouse and was wearing just the tunic and skirt. Now she is wearing sports shorts and a cut off top, or at least it looks like one. So why the many changes?

Notice Paul only gave us the band size?

I wonder why the helper doing the measurement isn't doing both at the same time? She/he/it has four arms?

I wonder how many busty gals Paul knows?

The info in this strip is way too detailed for a man's knowledge.

It's a sneaky way to try for brand loyalty. If only their product fits right you will tend to try them first. Also it's a quality control issue. All those sweat shops are cheap but not that precise.

Wrong!!! Men need to know this as well. Without this kind of knowledge any attempt to buy lingerie for someone is doomed I tell you, DOOMED!!!!! Nothing worse than to get the wrong size because no matter what is wrong she can take it as a message you are sending beyond the one you intended. At best it only means you are not paying attention to how she looks and her personal detail. At worst you are asking her to changing to match your desires. Either one is bad.

Nah. That's one thing Barbie wouldn't find hard!

Yes, it is quite obvious that Pablo has a loved one who would probably shop at Lydia's if it existed in our universe. I have gone through this experience with female friends as well.

ETA: I should probably point out that at least one retailer (who shall remain a "Secret" :ugeek: ) deliberately undersizes their cups for what is assumed psychological reasons ("SQUEE! I'm a Double D now!!" when she's actually a large C)

Poor Atsali... Attack of the quadraboob!!!

I know the battle all too well... You can get two bras from the same display in your size and one will be too small and the other too large. I've even had larger marked bras fit too tight and smaller marked bras be too big. There's no rhyme or reason to it. About the only place I've found with any consistency is Victoria's Secret.

That is because the fashion industry is not interested in the comfort or health of its target audience. (I know, What do I know.)

Gentlemen... DO NOT forget to thank Paul for your lesson in disguise for this holiday gift-buying season... you can get the required measurements any way you see (or feel! ) fit, and get the correct sized brassiere for her... he is telling you how to get the PERFECT fit for your S.O., and unless they too are reading this comic, they will never know!... you can say truthfully that "I'm just reading the comics Hun..." all the while furiously scribbling notes... or bookmarking this page in your smart-phone for reference at the store of choice. the only drawback to this plan that i currently see, is as Monica puts it, the trial and error of finding the correct sized cup from different manufacturers, and even styles from the same manufacturer... you probably might not get that correct without her being there when you buy it... unless that's going to be tomorrow's/friday's lesson. :o :?:

yep, the problem is it is mostly run by men, massively obsessed over by other men, massively exploited by ad-men, who all have a total obsession about *numbers* that is why you have STUPID things like 164 ZZZ that mean NOTHING at all...

Sorry, dear girls, but you have to realize they just cant help it, you have to sympathise, and take advantage... :) :D and push them out, and get the poor men to get you free drinks!!! :D :D

In UK, http://www.marksandspencer.com has a proper fitting service, but really you need to go to specialist shops, look at the links by the comic :)

All you need is a good visual memory. Make a mold out of silly putty and take it with you. With luck the saleslady won't laugh at you to hard. With a lot of luck you S.O. will not find out how you got the right size. Just say you judged it by eye. That will gain points for paying attention. The other alternative, which I use, is buy a gift card at a good bra shop and give her that. Don't be cheap with it either as these items will cost more than K-Mart does and will last a lot longer.

I've shopped at Jenette's - I'm positive that she wouldn't have been offended being portrayed as an alien, 'cause it's a totally different (non-chest-bursting) alien. As long as she's not facing The Queen Alien, she's pretty laid back.

ROFL LOL ROFL... :D when I managed to catch my breath and be in control of my self again, - I begin to wonder, did you mean actually make a 'model' of your SO's breast, or ....  :? :?

surely if you want to try for a surprise for her, a sample bra nicked from the drawer would be better??? but make sure you save all receipts, so she can get the right size...
so really a big voucher for 'victorias secret' would be better, if she is opening her present with older family members present...

I guess I'm not surprised that a mall specializing in the nonhuman crowd would maintain a wider-than-typical range of sizes in stock...

(If you're talking about a hand-sculpted mold, I suspect a better-than-average _tactile_ memory would be more useful... Actually, there was a nice piece on Instructables about creating molds of body parts (in their case, the end product was a chocolate breast)... but I'm not convinced it would work.)
