Anyway you look at it, it will be great for the girls to have some new friends that are not (Stinky old) adults yet.

Castela is way cute... I think Kath is going to be pleased. The twins are interesting... and typical of most sets of twins... one barely talks and the other has diarrhea of the mouth...

Can't help but wonder what kind of therapy Jet and Monica are going through about now...

Hmmm, This bears watching. Did I say that? I did, didn't I? Ouch. Transfered from 'Out West' I bet they have that "Valley-Girl/Surfer-accent" in they're voices. I guessed it when they said "Oh. My. God." Although I suppose 'Oh. Mah. Gawd!' would've gave it away. Still...I've never heard of Bear-people before. Have to look that one up.

Anyhow, that's some crazy morphing ability; I don't recall any other characters switching from living creature to inanimate object*. Would this be a trait in which bearfolk have specialized, I wonder?

I believe we can now safely say that the laws of conservation of mass, energy, molecular and atomic bonding, matter conversion, thermodynamics, and just plain common sense have been replaced by the laws of visual and structural convenience. It does make things easier to work with story wise.

I think I'll go inflate some bratwurst.

I think that happened quite some time ago! It's clear that in the Wapsiverse, a bunch of what we consider immutable laws of physics are actually just simplified approximations, and that there must be some interesting "outs" to which the paranormals have access.

As to any departure of "plain common sense"... take a brief look at the state of politics in any country you care to name, and tell me that common sense didn't depart on vacation quite some time back!

Exactly. I was just watching something where they were talking about how extreme cold affects things on the quantum level. The moral was basically as much as we know, we really don't know jack squat about physics.

Hehe. Berdine and Nadette are not names that I can tell (not in a traditional way, anyway), but Bernadette and Bernadine are.

Fun fact: Bernadette means brave as a bear, and Bernadine is derived from Bernard, which means bold as a bear

The fact their names are so intertwined makes sense since they're twins. I wonder if they have some sort of twinly connection/powers, taking their names' connection to each other into consideration.

Since those two are bearfolk the lady on Monday probably was/is merfolk...

I think that by now, we can safely assume that if it exists in myth and legend, it's likely to occur in the Wapsi-verse.

We've seen Minotaur (the poor kid confused by the antics of Atsali in the library), Vampires, Gorgon, Kraken (Stinky), whatever the heck Castilla is, sphinxes, demons, golems, titans (or at least the sub-titans <cough>Monica<cough>), Whatever the smeg Nudge is (hints anyone?)...

Now we've seen true shapeshifters.

So from this point on I'm not likely to be surprised to see any critters from legend popping up at the local Stop-n-Shop picking up a bag of Doritos
