*sniffle* That's just so damn wonderful!! Now I need a hug just to deal with my overload of cuteness and happiness. :P

Umm...did Kat always have dark circles like that on/around her eyes?

Who needs a riding crop? Mamabear can probably do it entirely on attitude.

There are worse problems to have this morning than needing a hug! Here's a virtual one to tide you over.... MMMMPH!

As to Kath's dark circles... yeah, I'd say Paul has consistently shown her with dark shadows around her eyes. See

http://wapsisquare.com/comic/an-adventure/
http://wapsisquare.com/comic/kicked-in-the-face/
http://wapsisquare.com/comic/ready-for-the-world/

and the whole sequence starting with this one.

http://wapsisquare.com/comic/doing-this/

Her dark pupils and irises and sclera are so striking and unusual that one doesn't tend to notice the darkness of the surrounding eye-sockets unless Kath has her eyes closed. Paul seems to be showing us here that it's not just an illusion created by her dark eyes, and not just a shadow... the skin around Katherine's eyes really is dark.

Either that, or Monica has been playing the old "put silver nitrate on the eyepieces of her microscope" trick for years, and Kath never noticed!

EDIT: replace the one-day-only attitude link, now expired, to another one referencing the same meme.

Yes. Peek back at the Lactose Intolerant Betta Fish storyline.

Atsali looks Very in her school uniform, I'll bet shes breaking boys hearts at school and getting a bunch of phone numbers, and Castela looks Happiest of all. The newest additions to the Wapsi Square Family.
Castela looks happy. Atsali looks absolutely giddy and Kath looks amazingly content. Yes... this is a hawt look for Kath... a very hawt look. Her new found confidence is giving her the moxy to play up her "assets" and boots and jodhpurs are just one way to do that. Oh yeah... and the very open blouse... heeeee :D :D :D

EDIT: Is it just me or does anyone else think that Castela's coloring compliments the dark circles around Kath's eyes?
You know that light at the end of the tunnel?

Yeah... it's a bullet. Sorry.

All you mugs trying to foist Ill Will and Bad Tidings on the Gilchrists because they are happy, don't. Even fictional characters ought to be able to have Good Things to live for.

Now I have an image in my head of Castela trying to include him in the middle of the group hug. He should probably count himself lucky that he's not there right now. ;)

This morning was riding lessons.
This afternoon is archery.
Tomorrow is the rifle and pistol range.
And this weekend Kath and Atsali start Israeli-style kung fu at the dojo....

Okay, have to agree, great look for Katherine...but what was she thinking, letting Atsali out of the house in that jailbait skirt? Seriously, it could be twice as long and still be a great look of her too.

On the other hand, the sheer joy in this page...it actually overwhelms every other consideration. Yes, there's a large amount of sweet and cute, but you could power the entire town of Stockridge for a year on the joy.

I think Washington D.C. would be a better choice - they're always in the dark there..

Castela is too happy to continue trying to look human. She is definitely cognito right now. I'm just still surprised that she's gray and not green, or brown--I'm assuming that her skin is rather bark-like. Any ideas, if that is true, what sort of plant she is channeling?

Yanno how some people have Angels/Devils for a conscience? I have a Dark Elf ShadowKnight and a Half Elf Ranger for mine. The really bad part is when they agree on something.

Hey, one species of Castela in Wiki is Castela texana. Maybe she's from Texas!

Those could be Engineer Boots. Perfect for fieldwork, but also for motorcycles.

We never did know how Kath got to and from work.

In this page we see Kath ready to leave for work wearing an outfit that would not work well on a motorcycle. The next page she is in her office letting a set of keys drop. I think it is safe to say she drives a car. (I thought there might be a page showing it but I may have imagined that)

Never pegged Katherine as a Biker chick. However...You don't suppose she rides an Old Indian(a) Motorcycle?
