Ready for the world 2013-08-02

No cliff hanger, no party, just the three heading home.

It is cute the way Pickle is imitating Kathy's walk and expression. A child will do that to a parent they love and want to be like.

Sali looking a pickle thinking "HUH?" is funny too.
Ambush questions are fun. Watching the mental impact of them as they distort, or crumble, opinions based on faulty logic.

I know it's just Kath, 'Sali and Pickle walking home, but Kath and Pickle's expressions made me think they needded a soundtrack.

While it can be said it's just a case of similar perspectives and subject matter, I find the obvious comparisons between this scene and those of Monica walking with her entourages earlier to be both intriguing and cute.

Especially the facial expressions.

I find it ironic you have Katherine walking between a vision of an angel and a little devil.

Atsali may be too big but Castela could easily ride on her shoulder. ;)

The picture here is wonderful, but it makes me wonder more and more as to what species Castela is. Looking at her with color makes me think that she is either a gargoyle of some kind or Paul has created a from scratch kind of being.

Here we come, walking down the street
We get the funniest looks from everyone we meet.

Hey, hey, we're the Wapsis
And people say we're fooling around,
But we're too busy living
To put anybody down.

You know that we want to
Do what we like to do,
The only time we get restless
Is around something new
Don't let other peoples limitations become your constraints!

Or the song could be

Here we come to save the day
Mighty Kath is on her way...

Probably not, Pickle had more important things happening, so I doubt she has remembered yet

Kathryn could stop at Tina's and see if she has any on the way home.

Take a good look at Kathryn.

That's no smile on her face and those are clenched fists. I think she is anticipating more problems from the local bureaucracy, and isn’t going to put up with it.

After what she's been through, Katherine has a right to do the "don't look back hero stride". In slow motion, yet. Atsali's a little unsure of herself, yet, and Castela doesn't know yet but trusts her big sister and new Mom.

All in all, a damn fine image.

Geeze Kath! Loosen up! Clenched fists and a scowl will not make a good impression on your new daughters. I'm pretty sure they would want, more than anything, a cheerful mom, not the terminator. Of course, cheerful is not something Kath is used to so that may take a bit of work.

I know what you mean, but heard this in my head

Sail can fly, just imagine Pickle going all Jak-Jak. And Kath? We she adopted two 'special needs' kids with out batting an eyelid, that's pretty incredible in my book.

Evolution of the Wapsi Square power walk:

Katherine: Done with the bullshit. Not putting up with anybody else's crap. "Get in my way and I will crush you."

Atsali: Hasn't gotten her bearings yet. Doesn't know who she is yet. "The fuck am I doing?"

Pickle: "CHUCKIE CHEESE!!!"

Looks like Kath stopped off for some clean clothes, but kind of forgot footwear.

I seem to have two devils. :?

...explains quite a bit, actually.
