Yes, Pickle has a good handle on what a smug smile should look like.

Both "Aw!" for Atsali complimenting her little sister, and "Ugh!" for Pickle once again invading her big sister's privacy.

No July 4th fireworks?
I ride my bike to ride my bike, and sometimes it takes me where I need to go.

This is better than fireworks... showing how much Atsali cares for Pickle... but what else did Pickle read ?Opus the Poet wrote:No July 4th fireworks?

Pretty sure Atsali was expecting it, hence her choice of subjects to write about.Dave wrote:If Atsali figures out the Castela is getting into her diary again.... there will be fireworks.

This might actually be Pickle's way of end-running Big Sister's interpersonal communication difficulty. Clever plantling.

We've had fireworks all week.
Point: How capable should a kindergartner be at reading a teenage diary? Once again, there seems to be more going on in the tumbleweed that "should" be.

In her diary, Atsali wrote:"W H A T S I T - Whatsit - exact lineage undetermined - an animated Blackthorn cluster. The whatsit runs here and there - now and then - to this one and that one - a benign but mischievous creature - very fond of scissors, cookies, and how are you, my dear Castela?"

Consider Panel Two, here - compare to Castela's usual speech pattern.jeffepp wrote:We've had fireworks all week.

So that's what it looks like inside the pocket dimension between Thelma and Louise!
Hopefully Pickle can get out without waking Alsali up.

That would be 'panel three' and um, **what** speech????? Unless the speech bubble was forgotten, or it is Castela's thoughts, translated to 'human readable'
'waking Alsali up' ?? Nah, she is past that, she knows, that is why she wrote it for her to see! :luv:

The second diary mentions how Nadette has been incapable of stringing more than three words together and is walking in a daze since being kissed... had to be pulled out of the pool three times because she aimlessly stepped into the deep end... her lips are bruised...

One pupil is fully dilated and the other is completely contracted (David Bowie style) due to overexposure to lens flares...Sgt.
