Maker's Mark

Post by txmystic »

So Maker's Mark has backed off their decision to lower the alcohol content in their Whiskey after an uproar:

But can any of you Whiskey connoisseurs out there tell me the difference between a whiskey at 90 proof versus 84 proof? Is the taste noticeably altered?

The main difference is the aging process. You will not be able to tell until the final decant.

People dislike change, so they fight against it, no matter how small.
Yanno how some people have Angels/Devils for a conscience? I have a Dark Elf ShadowKnight and a Half Elf Ranger for mine. The really bad part is when they agree on something.

I always take my change...then put it in jar at the end of the day. When the jar gets full, I buy something silly with it.

Nothing silly about it at all...perfectly smart, actually.

Mine is currently a swear piggy...soon to be a pun jar, so when Shneekey and all you silly punny guys and gals visit, we can all have a blast blowing up Paul's feed the artist button.

It's a thumbdrive, swear to God!

On a perfectly innocent note, years ago when pagers were the thing, not phones. The 'regulars' from Kramer's bar would have races on the tabletop at Jim's restaurant after the bar closed.

I should thank your for the link to the Skippy list. I have been put under a few similar rules, and should be put on a few more.

Ooh? Spill! I have to know now...I love hearing military stories...I think they'd have been in a similar situation with me had I been allowed to join the Corps...

Oh dear sweet Lord...I have so many friends and family that have the military reacting like that...

I have a buddy that was in the USMC 2nd Maintenance Battalion, and the day I met his gunny at the USMC ball, I flat out asked him if there was a Cpl Foamy list, and he said, "only a million miles long..."

He stated that the blanket rule was, "If it makes you crack a smile, the answer is do not do it."
