The architects tell me that won't work. No one has ever been removed from a pun vault by pulling from the outside.

The only way which actually works, is to send someone else into the Vault, who can tell enough really bad puns to generate a whole bunch of pressure. Enough pun-pressure can expel the Vault's previous resident with a loud explosion that sounds oddly like "Berwyn!!!"

Of course, then you have a new and possibly more incorrigible punster-in-residence to worry about.

Oh... the book I was misquoting was of course "A Tale Of Two Cities". The title alone should be enough pun-tinder to get you started.
And I'm not about to create a singularity event by jumping in after him. So I guess he stays put. Me going in there would be a case of Parson Gotti ending up in Erfworld. No one is safe.

First would come the dark side of the farce. From there it gets verse and a sing-ularity begins. As the pun-did delves deeper, and pun-density increases, the laws of thermodynamics will develop some new claws to go with the fur and second head as Schroedinger's indeterminate state begins to describe the unfortunate within as it can no longer be directly observed, and then grows four stomachs as the quad-tum pun barrier forms.

Ultimately, dawn breaks over the event horizon, the pieces are swept up by the gravitational attraction, and the process accelerates until no keyboard or monitor is safe from the eruption of fluids certain to occur. Finally, it will implode upon itself and a New-Tron star is born, then is promptly shot repeatedly for the sake of nerds everywhere.

 Why am I not surprised Shneekey? I can't leave for even a minute before you turn the whole thread per-pun-dicular with the most stu-pun-dous witticisms.

*tosses a "Slappy Squirrel automaton powered by arc reactor ®Stark Industries" into the vault.*

Yanno how some people have Angels/Devils for a conscience? I have a Dark Elf ShadowKnight and a Half Elf Ranger for mine. The really bad part is when they agree on something.

Well, I'm not sure, but it could be. I think I'm a purebred Homo sapiens nerdensis, but a bunch of my ancestors came from Ireland and Scotland, and there's no telling what they might have gotten into (or vice versa) over the centuries past.

It is a delightful thought! :D

You will be right at home here in the Vault, Shneekey! Check out the mini-kitchen... fresh warm cookies from Confusion Corner, and I think there's still some milk of paradise in the icebox.

My ex thought learning Gaelic would be great, along with a clan plaid...until he found out how hard it was to learn...and how scratchy and hot ten yards of wool are in August.

I still retained a few bits and bobbles of it, mostly faerie names and a few curses, a couple of songs...gave away the plaid to a relative of his.

Comes in handy for quirky Elvish turns of phrase, or just being silly.
