Intense wet hop flavor year round.

Hop Hunter IPA harnesses the complex flavors of just-picked hops through an all-new method of steam distilling wet hops before they even leave the fields. This revolutionary technique captures and intensifies the natural flavors, creating a unique and intensely aromatic beer. Our custom process gathers pure hop oil which, when combined with traditional whole-cone hops in the brew kettle, makes for an incredible IPA experience.
Oooh, and theres a movie...

Usually I'm drinking 'Torpedoes', but the whole 'It's got Hop Oil!' thing drew my interest.

Quite refreshing and flavorful. Thumbs-Up.

I haven't tried Torpedo. Do they use the Citra hops in that?

Pale ale and IPA are my favorite styles, but I'm having a hard time with the sudden popularity of Citra. To me, a lot of the ales that use it taste like grapefruit shandy.

I'm wondering whether that might be a genetic thing with the tastebuds. I really like cilantro with chiles. My brother also likes food with chiles, but he tastes cilantro as soapy. I'd like to get him to try some heavy Citra ale to see what he thinks of it, but he likes malty German-style lagers better than hoppy English- and American-style ales.

- I'm not sure re: Citra Hops, I don't think so, but I'll check.
(edit: I'm not sure yet, neither the 'top label' nor the bottom of the six-pack carton reveal this typeof info...)

- I too taste Cilantro as soapy. Your Brother For the Win! :D

- My buddy has a spot in the 'country' and we usually stock the larder w/ Torpedoes. So on a whim I sprang for a six-pack of the Hop Hunter. I like it.

- Personally I've been on a quest to find the Perfect Red, but it alludes me. For a time it was keg draft 'Rip Tide Red' from the Beach Chalet on the absolutely specific California Coast; just south of Cliff House, San Francisco.
(When you look out the the large windows, the next land mass you would see would be Japan / Asia Major, that is if the planet didn't curve out underneath you.)

It's changed from it's initial "tastes like burnt tree branches" I delighted in in the past to a brighter, lighter experience it is now.

And then I found Double Shock Shark Attack Red in a Whole Foods market one time. That was Yummy. And scarce.

That said, Torpedoes, which can be bought in 12 pack cases, have replaced Anchor Steam in my regular line up of what to drink when given a chance a'forehand.

(Yeah Anchor has change too...)
