Still alive and well - Al and Greg run in to him periodically while doing their coffee rituals.

Invariably they will be sitting (and arguing), and they hear that lovely Ford V8 in the Sunbeam Tiger as he pulls up. Those two mooning at the counter is a heartwarming sight.

Mooning at each other. A colloquialism for all of the icky hearwarming stuff that lovers do.

synonyms: waste time, loaf, idle, mope; informal: lollygag
"stop mooning about"

...I think there might be others, I'm not sure. And I have no friggin clue where in time these happen, it's 3:30ish and I'm not gonna make that effort right now... Especially since the chronology is already kinda tangled...

The big numbered list that you created from Sarge's paragraph-o-links has it as number 1

And I have updated that list (with a few notes about "In Progress" works)

EDIT: Dear God, Thirty EIGHT different threads?

#24 "A Stable Relationship" should say "in progress".

When I'm done with it I think I want to go through them all and work out a better-defined timeline. We now have three significantly different ages for Cinnamon - she's either a high-school junior (according to "Black Belle"), a college sophomore if I remember right (derived from one of the much-earlier stories), or in the last year of law school ("A Stable Relationship", and if that isn't the agreed-upon-final age I know how to reconcile it with the college-sophomore version).

College-age on CInnamon at a minimum - though we can discuss your chronology.

Look at it in canon perspective - flat out had she been a teenager she would have been in the safe room with the other squirts and the squishies - for both moral and practical reasons.

1. Al would never have allowed a minor to be on the firing line, flat out. Trained for emergency purposes, yes, but not considered combat troops. Al's seen enough of that horror in his career and wouldn't allow it even if he had to shoot someone to stop it.

2. An adolescent centaur would not have had the beef to do anything useful with a Maxi-14 after the first few shots. That thing KICKS and needs mass behind it.

3. Al would NOT have trusted an adolescent to cover his ass on the stairs even if she'd been there - not out of any doubt of her fortitude, but simply from the standpoint of analytical reason. A panic reaction at that point would have been fatal - as the equipment malfunction almost was.

EDIT: Ad let's not forget biology...and other chronology.

Rock died early September 2001. Daisy is ~60 per Sarge (and Al consideralby older - the woman's an idiot). If you do the math she's at least in her 20s...
