The fangage going on in that picture is enough to make herbivores run for the hills...

Alternatively, fan-gage . . . a device for measuring the degree of fannishness.

Gripping hand . . . a device for measuring ventilation efficiency.

I read that as 'Fan-age' (as in phonetically = fanidge), a level of 'Fan', so to speak.

(I think the Japanese have a better word for it...)

This nearly turned into another Monica's chili joke.

Yes, they do indeed lure one in, full well and knowing the web is most sticky, escape nigh impossible... and why would you want to escape anyway?

In case you missed it: The Relationship Chart now includes a Butterfly Boy:

I may need to re-do the whole thing. I've got two others to add to the mix that I can't (Ms. Alger and Bryn) because of lack of space.

In my quest for re-doing the Relationship Chart, I realize now that I have 36 different characters that fall under the "next generation" aegis - though eight of them (Monica, Jin, Brandi, Bud, Shelly, Phix, Connie, and Katherine) technically are part of the "first generation" of characters. Katherine is the only one that really falls under both categories, of course (she's Atsali's mom, after all).

What I've done is list the basics that I have for each character - type of paranormal, date first appeared, backstory of character, and relationships. The relationships begin with the total number, then individual names with type of relationship (S - Sibling; P – Parental/Family (Aunt/Grandparent); F – Friendship; L – Love Interest/Lovers; A – Antagonists; N – Neutral/Professional only; St – Strained (followed by type); / – multiple relationship types).

Here's a sample of our most-connected character:
ATSALI (Siren/Succubus) [31 January 2013] Grandma: Lily Pratt; Aunts: Jin Aedeobie (mentor), Monica Villarreal, Shelly Wahnee, Phix, Acacia Budur, Suzi McBride; Birth parents: Leucoisa & Walter Rahal; Adoptive mother: Katherine Gilchrist.
<24> Castela (S), Katherine (P), Lily (P), Suzi (P), Berdine (F), Nadette (L), Calista (F), Jacob (StL), Jessie (F), Krystle, Devyn (F), Abby (F), Alexis (F), Mallory (F), Daylla (N), Timothy (N), Acacia (P), Monica (P), Jin (P), Brandi (P), Phix (P), Ms. Alger (N), Bryn (N), Digit (F)
...This could get a bit tedious.

Got it updated and including a LOT of other characters. Re-did Atsali and Castela's pictures. Now, the hard part: linking the relationships...

You may have to go to an active technology. Touch a character, the unrelated characters fade out, the related ones remain, and the relationship lines and labels appear.

Otherwise, beaucoup overcrowded :?
