Re: Fan Art
I concur; quite lovely. Precisely the imagery I need for chilling out.

Who did the coloring on that one? I don't care much for cheesecake images, I am impressed with the light coming through the leafs effect.Jabberwonky wrote:'Nother wallpaper...

Corel Paintshop Pro X4. I'm just too lazy when it comes to using masks and such.Jabberwonky wrote:What program are you using to colorize?jwhouk wrote:An attempt at colorizing the Vampire Ladies:

I did that! That one wasn't for the cheesecake, I get the calm of M and Deitzel chilling in the backyard.lake_wrangler wrote:Who did the coloring on that one? Thanks for the compliments.
If you just put a blank white layer below the line work, and turn that layer to 'multiply' (i'm not familiar with Paintshop Pro, so I can't give a more exact answer). You paint on the blank layer and it shows through the linework. That gives the edges of the linework some tone and they don't stand out like they do. It's the lazy version of making an ink layer.jwhouk wrote:Corel Paintshop Pro X4. I'm just too lazy when it comes to using masks and such.

Re: Fan Art
To all who answered my queries about Wapsi Wallpaper: Thanks loads; I had no idea how I was gonna harvest data off of a damaged hard drive (if it even survived the - let's just call it a 'mishap').
Great work Paul Atomic, Jabber, and FPF - and anyone I missed.

Just caught up on all the wonderful art that has been posted in October! To all that posted: love your talent and imagination. Glad to be back at my computer and not looking at wapsi on my cel phone.

Re: Fan Art
Grrr. I arranged a dozen pics to make a 1080p theme (complete with custom Wapsi icons) for my PS3 but my modem/router is messed up and I'm currently limited to surfing from my cell phone.

Re: Fan Art
I'll second that! Also, fine choices for Pratt's & McBride's skintones, too; I like how Pratt is a bit sallow (to match her slightly gaunt facial structure) and McBride is a rather pale ginger (well, near-ginger, I guess).

Re: Fan Art
Thank you so very! I was testing out some new ways of shading and had a lot of fun. Not entirely happy with the hair, but learned a lot.
The hair skin tones were based the Vampire Gals poster, of course. Pratt didn't strike me as particularly dark skinned with dredlocks, but allowing that vampires tend to run pale, I made her slightly tawny instead. McBride of course was ginger and cream. Doubt has always been purple for me, and this was a lot of fun coloring her among the (astral) flames!
And now, a blast from the past:
