Always nice to see my silliness beget more silliness. What is really fun is doing the Vulcan salute then forming the V with different finger combinations and watching as someone else gets frustrated when they can't do it at all. *looks at facial hair in the mirror* Maybe I am the evil twin of some good guy out there?DilyV wrote:This was mentioned... so I had to follow up on it!!! You'd be surprised at how many people can't do the Vulcan salute... Lily is one of them...

Thanks a lot, Atomic for making me go from mocking gravity to rooting for it.

This notion certainly gets my support! As does Suzi, of course. She needs all the support she can get.Sidhekin wrote:I hereby dub that an anAtomic study!Atomic wrote:Since everybody was commenting on situational gravity....

Technically, she's quoting Thodin the Arch-Heretic; Kai is the last of the Brunnen-G. Although it would be apropos for Lily to quote Kai, considering she's the (next-to) last of the Anasazi.

Is she looking for her keys or something?

*gigglefits* Actually, a lot of stuff can be stored in a bra of sufficient size. I've stored money, ID, a phone, and keys in my bra before...and then used my cleavage as a cup holder...and I'm pretty sure I had room to spare.shadowinthelight wrote:Is she looking for her keys or something?

Playing off the scene in J.J. Abrams' reboot of the Star Trek Series where poor Chekov has trouble getting the computer to understand his russian accent... Lily is not amused...

Yeah... it's a bullet. Sorry.

Re: Fan Art
Was inspired to suggest what Lily and Suzi might possibly find at the other end of their stargating, if their aim goes a bit awry or if certain peoples' speculations turn out to be correct.
This is neither Mesa Verde nor the Mapimi area, by the way... it's part of the Petra site, in southern Jordan. It's the tomb known as the Monastery, which is about 900 steps up a long path/staircase from the main valley.
For scale... see the doorway down at the bottom center? See the lip of stone (the "one big step") between ground level and the dark entrance to the doorway? That lip/step is almost 5' high - I'm 6' and would have had difficulty scrambling up to enter the tomb.
Petra really is this impressive! I edited out a couple of people and a donkey who were standing in the shadows to the right of the door, but aside from that (and the large arachnid) this is just what I saw when I took the picture at the end of March.

Ooh, cool! I've heard so many good things about Petra. Hopefully I'll see it, someday.

Ambush questions are fun. Watching the mental impact of them as they distort, or crumble, opinions based on faulty logic.

This panel has been as much fun as the "splerch" comic. And now the conclusion to the trilogy.
