Re: Fan Art
I was inspired by Rosalila's wonderful holiday strip and used a wide brush set to 33% opacity and layered the color in to darken the shadows. I blended it a little with the smudge tool after that. I like what it did on the skin, but don't think it translated as well to the hair. And I didn't get the effect I was hoping for with the champagne glass. I was hoping it would be more translucent showing her hand through it.
Gives me something to work with.
And it might just be me, but I can't tell if she's singing or burping...

Could be either one.
I suspect she's singing, though.

I have another trial of just her hair I may post. I like how it looks, too, but need to play with it some.

Re: Fan Art
Great stuff all around, guys. Finally home. I should be following the doctor's orders and getting as much bed rest as possible (diagnosed with flu/pneumonia while out of town) but there is much silliness to catch up on.

Do get your rest and get better, please! I think I can say that we'd all prefer you alive and well, rather than otherwise!shadowinthelight wrote:Great stuff all around, guys. Finally home. Re: Fan Art
Get Well Soon, shadowinthelight! Can't have the likes of you just lollygagging around with all that sniffle stuff and bed rest. No, siree. Not a bit of it!

Shadow, that sounds like an excuse to play around with the arts. Depending on the misirabilty factor...
Get well soon.

Meanwhile, back at the fan art.....
Sorry -- Nudge may be covered in flannel, but I doubt she's made out of cardboard! Besides, my life drawing classes were nagging at me.

Re: Fan Art
Thanks, I'm not really well yet but definitely feeling better than before. The three beds in my grandmother's house feel like a gym mat, a plywood plank, and a granite counter top in firmness. My mattress will feel like a bed in Cloudsdale by comparison.

First rescript of the new year.
Silly Monica, everybody loves bacon. The funny thing is I imagine she was fully capable of responding this way prior to her paranormal upgrade. (for those not familiar)

Playing with Monica's Hair
Love it Shadow! For the longest time, and still occasionally, when a certain friend of mine and I would see a 'win', we'd look at each other and shout "It's bacon!"
