Yeah, this panel was definitely made for rescripting. (done several hours ago but couldn't upload due to Photobucket maintenance)

Jabberwonky, your Bud, Tina, and Phix color jobs are my faves. :)

Well, this doesn't have even a tiny fraction of the amazing awesomeness of the coloring and original work people have been posting lately.

It was, however, somewhat inspired by the great Bloody Phix Meme offerings put forward in the last day or two. Seeing them prodded me to stop procrastinating and put this together.

Image

This is Snaggletooth, a lion my wife and I saw in the Masai Mara game reserve in Kenya last month. His injured lip gives him a wonderful sneer, which I thought would go well with a cranky attitude. I don't think he was eating lunch the way Phix was, but he acted as if he was late for lunch and that we were the cause of his delay.

Thank you, Miss Julie

I'm happier with Bud the more I look at it, it was just an afternoon's distraction.

I've wanted to do a good Tina, but it took a while before I learned how to effectively desaturate Paul's monochrome wallpapers. (I was going to try and put a Mucho Mocha happy cactus on the shirt, but her angle would really blow the joke)

I did the full page strip because I wanted to do the Phix in it, and that led to wanting to do a good Phix.

Here's the wallpaper I was using, 'til I got 'Sunset'. I have a handful like this that I keep in a folder and use it for my screensaver. The only thing that appears to change, with a little luck, is the picture under the banner....

I have to say that the Phix really comes out at you including the great script for her name.

Wow! Great job, maybe it's old, but I like it...

And just a mention, I like Nudge's hair longer. It's much more expressive.

Much love for all the coloring. It makes this place feel like home. Megatokyo was the first web comic I started reading and the Story Discussions Fanworks subforum used to have a very active and talented artist community but that place is barely getting along on life support now. :(
