I definitely need to play around more with the multiple-layers method of adding color. Fuzzy-select of white zones doesn't really cut it.

I put a smaller version of this in the daily forum, in response to kingklash's remark that people should stop wishing doom upon Katherine and Atsali and Castela. I actually did it at twice this resolution but the resulting JPEG exceeds the forum size limit.
