Out here we have this stupid thing called Daylight saving time

In any case, it should be repealed.

Nice to 'see you', you've come at an interesting time in the development of the current characters, (many of whom weren't around 13 years ago when the strip 1st started...)

Right. Like any Illinois politician is gonna listen to the taxpayers.
Right after they spend our money redecorating their crap in the style of Downton Abbey and selling US Senate seats.

I just realized I was supposed to post an intro . . .

At least one of you knows us already, and I recognize some other names.

But, I'm FreeFlier, the one and only (AFAIK), and my companion . . . wherever she's wandered off to - is Wolf-who-watches.

She's a coal-black wolf, strangely sentient, and if she likes you, may cadge, err hint for squeakers (live mice) . . . she has described them as "popcorn you can chase!"

If she doesn't like you, you most likely won't see her unless it's really inconvenient . . . sometimes she acts like she's part cat. :? She walks through walls, appears and disappears when you're not looking . . .

I read . . . a LOT! and have all sorts of odd information in my head or library.

I'm not sure where I first heard of Wapsi, but I had a look at the time and it didn't grab me. Then a few months ago someone mentioned something specific, I took a look again . . . and wound up staying up way too late on an archive dive!

I tried to register for the forum a couple of times, but never got the confirmations . . . recently I tried again and this time it worked.

Well, FreeFlier, let me be the first one to welcome you (again) to this forum. I meant to direct you to this thread, but I forgot...

I too, stayed away from this comic, the first time I found it... but I came around again, later. Captivating story, it is.

I hope the welcome wagon arrives soon. Wouldn't want you to feel alone...
Just so you know, the confusion corner has some very comfortable furniture, and is stocked with plenty of pastries... (and coffee, too, if I recall...) We all end up in the confusion corner, at one point or another... so don't be a stranger.

Meanwhile, here's a squeaker for Wolf-who-watches. She better come out of hiding, or her popcorn will get away...

Aye, welcome to the insanity. You should know it's a very inclusive group, and no thoughts of Wolf-Exclusion will be tolerated.

Don't forget to tip the Pun Jar...

Well, I won't hold the coffee against the organizers . . . do they have habanero cookies? . . . if not, I can provide some.

I'm used to insanity . . . we used to caution newcomers to leave their sanity at the door.

The downside was all that unused sanity accumulated . . . have you ever smelled three metric tonnes of rotting sanity?
TazManiac wrote:You should know it's a very inclusive group, and no thoughts of Wolf-Exclusion will be tolerated.
Excluding her can be a trick . . . she tends to take exclusion attempts as a challenge.

That could get expensive . . . one of the other places I hang out we regard weapons-grade puns as an art form.

Punsters! Unlimber your Thesaurus, deploy your Dictionaries, safeties off!

Make thine victims fear thy Punder!

Or something like that...

Welcome, FreeFlier!
