Re: Fanfic Index Thread

I will get back to that list soon but not right away.

I also need to finish organizing my archive of the fanfics.

And I have a bunch of stories in progress, including one Wapsi.

Plus it's the time of year when we snowbirds tend to migrate.

Edit 5/12: updating in progress.

Re: Wapsi Square on Facebook

Considering how hard they work to keep you trapped there, it is rather stupid of Facebook to have the reset procedure rely on you knowing people by other means.

(Had an account for a few years, never used it, deleted it.)

Re: Gainesville GA 0545 16 January 2022

We get lots of snow (just got a foot of it yesterday), and drivers fall into two categories: slow down to a crawl to keep it safe, or trust your vehicle so much (4X4, etc.) that you keep driving at "normal" un-snow-hindered speeds (whether that trust in your vehicle is well-founded or not...

Re: Gainesville GA 0545 16 January 2022

Seattle, basically. Substantial snow is quite rare here. And drivers go berserk when it happens. --FreeFlier "Look, there's a snowflake! Close the city!" - some guy as we were coming out of our daughter's dance performance at Seattle Center, circa 25 years ago. (We really didn't get much ...

It occurred to me late last night, while I was in the middle of something only partially related, that Al (the character) was wrong about one thing. He not only should have insisted his interns spend some time driving the vehicle on the track, he should have informed them that this would happen befo...

I hadn't noticed before, and did not take time to check for consistency throughout the rest of the text, but I did see that Al wrote with British spelling at least once... "on my honour"... 8-) Perfect consistency, at least in this story so far. (He only used the word once, which makes it...

Should have added: The comic is supposed to resume "after the new year" and the schedule may officially change to 3/week.

Mrs. Nibbly over in Twokinds probably wouldn't mind though.

(But then, the only thing we're sure she ISN'T is an ordinary wild squirrel. Ordinary pet squirrel is still on the table, but improbable. Shapeshifted dragon is also possible.)

Re: Is the comic dead?

I just made sure I have a current backup of the archive... (I've done that with a couple other webcomics that finished or died... unfortunately there's this one that I really liked, that the first indication it was not going to continue was when the artist removed all the existing pages from the web...

Most obvious use is as an abrasive.

I suppose you could burn it. Good luck designing a fuel delivery system that can stand up to it long-term though.

Re: Wapsaholics anonymous rides again...

I've been contemplating maybe bringing in a character from a different universe... she's already met Dawn, in yet a different pocket-universe (the Crosstime Cafe, at a holiday party). Lately I've been busy with a non-Wapsi webcomic-crossover story... the file for the Wapsiverse story I have in progr...
